It's okay. It is hard to use on most meat, I prefer a knife. The suction part of it is nice!

I have a big meat slicer machine, and it can be a chore to take it out, set it up to cut the meat, and break it down to clean before putting it back in storage. This meat slicer is a game changer, and I won't have to pull out the big meat slicer machine because the mini slicer makes slicing meat easier. The mini slicer works well, and the design lets me slice thick or thin meat. I like the safety feature of the locking suction on the surface, which keeps the slicer in place while in use. This meat slicer lets me use the 4mm or 2mm blade for the thickness of the meat whether making meat for pho or skillet BBQ. Overall, I like this meat slicer because it does the job my big machine could do.

This meat slicer is all about making slicing fresh, boneless meat—like chicken, pork, beef, lamb, or salmon—a total breeze. It’s got 17 super-sharp stainless steel blades that zip through, giving you 18 even slices in one go, with thickness options of 2mm or 4mm to play with. The suction cup base keeps it locked in place, and the food-grade container is tough and clean. Plus, it comes apart for easy washing—the blade rack’s even dishwasher-safe—and has a cover to keep things safe when you’re done. Not for frozen, cooked, or bone-in stuff, but it’s a time-saver that nails pro-level cuts at home.

I ordered this slicer specifically to cut beef for steak subs and stir fry. The idea of thin and even thickness appealed to me. I am doing this to save money, so I am also trying cheaper cuts of meat first.Assembly is very easy. The suction cup base stuck firmly to my marble countertop. It DID take some sawing and pressure so I'm glad it stayed firmly stuck to counter. After following directions from enclosed booklet, I also looked at the videos provided to get extra help.I tried my first batch using fresh flank steak. I know it is better quality to use sirloin or prime rib but I was going for low cost. My first attempt failed! Would not cut at all! I went back to video and noticed a "this side up" label on the cutter in video. MY cutter does NOT have this label, so I turned k. upside-down and tried again. This time it worked, although with some effort. There was no fat or gristle in the cut, but it was cheaper flank steak. As I cut each piece of meat, I got a better feel for it and it cut easier. I also cut with the double "thin" blades, and I assume that if you remove the second set to cut thick, there should be even less effort. The slices were consistent and about bacon thick when using the thin setup blades. It did make great steak subs! The kit comes with several cleaning brushes, which enhance safe cleaning if hand washing.I'm not sure how long the blades stay sharp and I don't know if they can be sharpened. Time will tell. So far I am happy and will be doing beef stir fry next time.
