Works great, easy to install and when the interior trim piece wasn't the right depth, I contacted the company and they sent me the right one free of charge...

I purchased this fan as a replacement for the loud, one-speed stock fan in my Vintage Cruiser. The product, once installed, is a nice-looking unit, with a simple and descriptive remote. It moves significantly more air than the stock fan, and is much quieter. Itâs fairly quiet on fan speeds 1 and 2, and gets a little louder with the higher speeds. That it can blow or suck will be great, depending on what we need in the trailer at any given time.Installation: The roof of the RV is 2 inches thick. No problem, though. In the description on Amazon, it says recommended roof thickness is 37 to 85 mm. For us Yanks, thatâs 1.46 to 3.35 inches. Putting the pieces together on the living room floor, I discovered that the minimum roof thickness would be about 2.5 inches. I reached out to the vendor for help, and at first they were very responsive, answering within about an hour. They asked more questions for clarification. But after I replied with the requested info, there was no more communication from the vendor. I decided to install it anyway, and modify as needed. The outside part, I installed exactly as directed, being sure to use plenty of butyl tape under the flange and lap sealant around the edges and covering all the screw tops. I ended up trimming about an inch of plastic from the inside cowl to reduce the overall thickness. Not the neatest job of trimming, but the cut part will be hidden completely for all time. The finished installation turned out great, and youâd never know what an involved project it was - first removing the old fan and all that well-seasoned lap sealant (whoâs only jobs in life are to keep the water out, and to stay put forever), then crudely trimming the inside cowl part with primitive hand tools and a prayer. Everything else was easy, from centering the unit into the roof hole, screwing it down and weather-proofing it. The wiring was very straigforward, and then I crammed the wires back up and out of the way, to be hidden by the inside cowl. And finally, screwing the modified inside cowl up to the ceiling. Oh, the screws provided were silver/unpainted. In order for them to look more finished, I spray painted the dozen screws required for the inside work - looks great.

We installed this fan and had to do minor adjustments to the fan for it to fit. We have vintage fiberglass camper, so this is something we are used to. There are a number of features with the fan and we really appreciate the ceiling fan functionality. We can use the fan with the lid closed and we like to have a breeze in most situations. We like the use of manual control, buttons, and the remote. They have really made it easy to use. It is much more quiet than our old fan and really updates the look. You can feel air moving throughout the camper and there are many speeds. Our camper is small,16 ft, so for a larger rig I could see the benefit of more than one fan. The fan appears to be durable and has a good tint on the top.

Our family purchased a brand-new fifth-wheel RV in July 2021 for full-time living. Over the years, the original plastic fan/vent in the bathroom had become extremely brittle and needed replacing. After an exhaustive online search and reading countless reviews, we decided on the 2012 Electric Air Max 14â Vent RV Roof Vent Reversible Exhaust Fan.We installed it ourselves, and the process was surprisingly straightforward. (Just a tip: if youâre planning to DIY, be comfortable with basic DIY projects and definitely watch a few installation videos beforehand.) The toughest part was removing the old fan/vent, especially scraping off the Dicor sealant.Once installed, we couldnât be happier! The fan has four power settings for both intake and exhaust, which makes it incredibly versatile. The lowest setting provides gentle airflow, while the highest setting creates a powerful mini wind tunnel if you open another window or doorâperfect for ventilating the RV quickly. We also love the included remote, which is a game-changer for convenience. Itâs especially handy when using the restroom and you donât want to get up to adjust the fan manually. If we knew how much we would love this fan, we would have replaced it much sooner! Itâs powerful, functional, and easy to useâa significant upgrade from the original fan in our RV.Overall, we highly recommend this fan to any RVers looking to replace their ceiling fan/vent.PSThe original included siding was only 3-4 inches deep and we needed the 6-inch deep siding. We contacted the seller and they are sending us what we need. Seller is responsive and helpful.

This purchased to replace the Fantastic Fan in our 2017 Airstream. This fan is quieter and has more features (can blow in or out, has more speeds, can run in the rain, and has a remote). So far no issues using the fan and I like it better than the original. I will see how it holds up over time, hoping just as well as the original, which still ran fine, just leaked and I wanted to replace since the labor would be the same cost. However, the fan is 360 by 360 millimeters, which is 14.1732 inches!! The hole in my coach was exactly 14x14, so it didn't fit. After several minutes of careful grinding (all aluminum), I was able to install this. For other RVs, it could be more of a problem. The producer needs to make it slightly smaller and it would be a considerable improvement. The original fan was a scootch under 14x14, by the way. Again, I like the fan and money wise it seems to be a real value, just the installation could have been a show-stopper had I not had the means to enlarge the roof opening fairly easily.
