we have some older wisenet cameras installed on the front of the house, 3 are aimed towards the front lawn and driveway, without the illuminator, at night, we could see a brighter circle about 15 feet across in the area directly in front of the camera, with the illuminator we can see pretty much out to the street now, we put it up a little higher than the cameras, so I think that helps the ir light spread a bit more, anyway, we were so happy with the change, we ended up installing 2 more, for a total of 3 across the front of the house, now we can see our whole entire front yard and complete driveway, instead of just 3 hot spots.on a side note, we also have a newer wifi camera out front that rotates, that camera always had decent night vision on its own, but now with the IR illuminators, that camera can see the house across the street! so these are excellent for older cameras and still help boost newer camerasI did notice the power adapters feel warm like others have mentioned, I wonder if I can get another power supply and use that to power all 3?? I'll have to look into that, either way, these are a great addition for us, 5 stars!

Light worked well to light up an area for a security camera, but it only worked for about 6 months. Not worth the money. The cheaper one I put up at the same time, worked as well, and is still working. Light was mounted tight under the eaves of my shop and only got wet with high winds while raining. There is a 2ft eave with gutters and this light is mounted up against the building with about an inch of space above and behind the light, and it is angled. The other is unprotected on the south side of another building and has had no issues.

The "Tendelux" IR Flood Light really works even better than I expected. After an easy installation, all I could say was "WOW", what difference. This was money well spent. My neighbor recommended this IR light for adding excellent night visibility for "bargain security cameras" that work fine in the daylight but have limited infrared lighting power for the night vision to be effective. In my opinion, the night time visibility for a security camera is just as important, if not more so, than in daylight! When I first saw the huge increase of brightness and how far my security cameras could easily see, I was amazed! For my situation, it illuminates very good out to at least 140 feet from the cameras, has wide coverage, is well made and I will confidently buy others as our security needs require. There are 2 improvements I could recommend:1. Provide a mounting bracket that would allow for horizontal AND vertical adjustment at the same time, such as a "Ball and Socket" type of adjustment. This would greatly improve the ability to provide exact light "aiming" for many different circumstances. With the light mounted in the horizontal position, it only rotates "up or down" and when the light is mounted vertically, it only rotates "side to side" / right or left. Also, the bracket does not allow for an easy or convienient mounting experience on the corner of a building.2. A built-in automatic "dusk to dawn" ( on/off ) feature would be nice also, but the light only draws a cost effective18 watts of electricity so I think it's a toss up but it would be another selling point to consider. For most people, this IR light will work very well as it's doing for me. I am very satisfied with the performance and the price!

I bought two of these lights. One in April and one in May. I also bought two 100 to 200 array style IR lights from other manufacturers. The Tendelux IRs' worked better than the other IRs' which I returned to Amazon as they were rather useless in comparison to the Tendelux IRs'.The Tendelux IR that I bought in May decided to quit working, so I notified Tendelux and they made the warranty replacement a painless experience. The replacement light works with no problems. I commend Tendelux on their warranty word, and the painless process.I will probably be purchasing another Tendelux IR Illuminator as I built a large shed which blocks both IR and floodlight lighting. I live in the country, and I have numerous surveillance cameras, both bullet and PTZ but I need additional IR for the surveillance cameras to see behind the new shed as the surveillance IR lighting will not go out that far and I need to see my animals, as well as movement by other critters, both animal and human.Although the Tenedelux IR does not reach the 200 ft range advertised (as far as detection by my bullet cameras) the PTZ cameras pick up the additional lighting although not as well as I would like. But, in comparison with the array lighting IRs' that I tried, it is the better choice. I would recommend the Tendelux IR 200 ft long range illuminator to anyone who needs an area lit for their surveillance cameras as an additional light source (other than floodlights).Note: This post may be a duplicate as I may have messed up on the first one.

Pros: Durable. I dropped it on a hard tile floor and it survived unscratched and still working. Nice spread of IR light really enhances the cameras' night vision. Placing it a few feet away from the camera makes the video more 3D looking at night from the IR shadows at an angle behind objects. The illumination is good.Cons: Bright red LEDs. Yes, all IR LEDs produce some visible red light. But these ones REALLY glow red. I tested it by placing the illuminator at my front door then walking about 50 feet to the street. The LEDs were highly visible. My application is for a hobby farm and my back yard, so the visible red LEDs don't bother me much. But I would never consider putting it on the front eave of my house. That would be an open invitation to all the neighborhood kids with BB guns and slingshots to practice on the illuminator at night. Yes, they are that visible. Also, they could have made the power cord a bit longer.
