I bought this to make my own IR flood lamp system to improve the quality of our videos. The first 3 months or so were fine, no issues. However, as time went by I started to notice I couldn't see as clearly as I used to and chalked it up to a cheap camera. I bought another camera and no difference. So I used my cell phone's camera to see if it was working and found out that only about 30% of the LEDs were still functioning! Funny I thought LEDs were supposed to last ten of thousands of hours, by my calculations they only made it about 3200 hours. I can't recommend something that doesn't even make it less than a tenth of the supposed life span. If the company makes it right, I will change my review, but I have my doubts.

Initially worked very well providing elimination to a security camera expecting 850nm IR in a room where I could not have the dark red illumination of 850.But light handling power supply cable caused it to fail. The replacement seemed doa but I can’t say for sure. The soldering is not strong. I don’t see many options for a well-packaged 940nm flood like this. So despite the problems I had I’m giving it 3 stars w the idea it may be okay for someone in a lab or with a lighter touch.

well made but my Infared cameras designed for RED Infared (with intentionally defeated red Infared) was not able to see anything past 25 inches. NOTE: to be fair...I may have been using the Board for the wrong application. Bottom line.. it does give invisible light! I have a dirt race track my neighbors complain about the dust from my hot rod electric bike, I wanted to use about 30 or 100 of these attached to my racing gear with camera, race at night..they could not see the dust and have to shut up. They have the cops on me.

It has been in service nightly for well over a year. I need it to monitor loved one sleeping on an ASV ventilator (not obstructive apnea). If he takes it off in his sleep then his SpO2-blood oxygen can drop below 80% not good. The YI camera is great but its IR is not strong enough for details, grainy image. This IR array is perfect and invisible. Does not disturb his sleep. Looks like daylight B&W. It is set to the right side of camera. Cast a strong shadow across electric fan. IR array is 7 ft from person. Details pop-out and contrast is perfect. When deciding to purchase, I was concerned about an enclosure. People were making a big deal about it in their comments. I just used a small cardboard box with weather strip foam behind and on each side. All electricals are insulated. It is on 6 to 10 hours every night. Has worked perfectly. I'm planning to buy another one for an outdoor application, just need to find a front cover that does not dim the IR. Without reservations, I recommend it.

Simple and works. I'd estimate illumination is ~10 feet. I was hoping it would illuminate the back yard but not strong enough. But it will extend the lighting in a room.Note, the Wyze Cam Pan is 940nm. The Wyze Cam is 840nm and won't work with this light.

Great product - and an unbeatable price for 940nm offerings (unless you want to assemble your own unit from scratch) - all you need to do is come up with a housing, and location for where you want to put it. Especially slick for "covert" application as mine is - I've purchased several of these and am planning to buy more right now. For the reviewers complaining that these are "not bright enough" - when compared to 850nm products these will seem much less bright, yes - but these are undetectable to the naked eye - and when compared with other 940nm products out there - these are right up there at the top as far as brightness + more versatile because they're not "pre-packaged" with a housing + leading the entire pack on the price front (and customer service too apparently, based on a few other reviews I just read)... Many Thanks to the Seller for making these available here!

So far, so good. It's a small board but works as advertised. The LEDs are completely dark to the naked eye, but illuminates well for a capable night vision camera. I'm using an Argus 2 camera which has it's own IR LEDs (most likely the 850nm variety, because they have a highly visible glow at night). I put this board into a small project box and added a magnetic swivel, and it's working out really well.

After looking at different LED IR emitters, I chose this one after reading another rideshare driver's review.I use this to light my backseat for my VanTru dashcam. It's great! The biggest hassle was building a tiny housing for it. There's already a photo resistor on the unit, so once you get it secured in a case, it's plug and play- if you remembered to get a power supply.Paired with the VanTru, it lights up the backseat for much better monitoring of the car.*Update. I don't want to say what happened, but I might have never known about it without this little guy. I hadn't even realized that an incident had occurred until I was saving my footage for the night. While I'm still trying to decide whether I would have rather not known... well, this light did it's job. Now,I'm off to find eyebleach.
