Warnings Tips:

  • Before using, ensure the water level is sufficient and the immersible water heater is fully submerged before plugging it in.
  • If the power cord is too short, use a heavy-duty extension cord in good condition (not worn or damaged).
  • Do NOT touch water during use. Please unplug the power plug before touching the water.
  • Due to water quality reasons, after repeated use of the water heater, the surface of the heating tube will produce scale, affecting the heating effect, please use the steel ball to clean up in time.
  • Please read the instructions and precautions carefully before using the electric immersion water heater.

Here are several unsafe/misuse scenarios involving electric immersion water heaters

  • Dry Boiling Without Water Immersion or Partial Submersion

Risk: Operating the device without fully submerging the heating coil in liquid.

Consequence: Rapid overheating, melting of internal components, and potential fire ignition.

  • Using Non-Heat-Resistant Containers

Example: Glass jars, plastic cups, or thin-walled metal pots not rated for high temperatures.

Hazard: Container cracking/spilling boiling water or leaching toxic chemicals (e.g., BPA from plastics).

  • Overloading Electrical Circuits

Violation: Plugging multiple high-wattage devices (e.g., microwave + heater) into the same 15-amp household circuit.

Result: Circuit breaker tripping, wire insulation damage, or outlet fires.

  • Voltage Incompatibility

Mistake: Connecting 220V-designed units to U.S. 120V outlets (or vice versa) without a converter.

Danger: Power surges, accelerated wear, or instant burnout.

This is a handy helper to help keep about 5 gallons of water warm in the tub. If you are heating more than that, it will just take longer, and perhaps too long to make it worth your while. The power cord is only about 79” long so expect to have a properly rated heavy-duty extension cord (the heater claims 2,000W) if there is no properly rated outlet near your tub. The immersion heater has a built-in thermostat that shuts the unit down once the water reaches about 140 degrees F (60 degrees C). Electric power and water can be a dangerous combination so a lot of caution is required when using this. Always unplug this first before reaching for the water. The unit works as intended and as described on the product information page.

If you’ve ever wanted to turn a bucket of water into a steaming cauldron (safely, of course), this does the trick. It takes a little while, but once it gets going, it keeps water hot enough that I had to add cold back in—so I’d call that a win. It’s easy enough to use, just make sure you actually read the safety warnings unless you enjoy mild electrocution surprises. The only real gripe is the cord length. It’s short, which means you either need an outlet conveniently next to your tub/bucket or a proper heavy-duty extension cord. Also, there’s no off switch, so unplugging is your only option, which feels a little old-school. But for keeping bath water hot or turning a tub into a temporary hot spring, it’s solid. Just plan for some waiting time and keep your hands out of the water while it's running unless you’re looking for an unexpected science experiment.

If you like taking baths but don't like how quickly the water can cool down, this is a great product. As long as you don't touch it (it can be quite hot) it's fine to keep in the tub with you. Definitely helps maintain the heat level!

I can’t say enough good things about this immersion heater. We live in freezing weather and I decided to take a shot at ordering this to keep a hot tub heated after the main pump quit working. Right after it arrived I put it in the hot tub and plugged it in. In one afternoon and evening it heated a 6’10” square, 315 gallon hot tub from 84° to 100°. I never even gave a thought that it came with a digital thermometer as a benefit when I ordered the heater, but it proved to be super useful as I was able to monitor the temp without lifting the cover. For the next week I unplugged and plugged it in and maintained 100 degrees. No issues and when I took it out to store it in the provided nylon bag, it looked like new. Highly recommended!

This little gadget can really heat up some water. Used it in the bathtub and although it takes some time (about 40 min.) I still needed to add some cold water to it! Easy to use easy to store, is totally worth the price and actually gives you HOT water!

Before I say anything about this product, I want to make it very clear that there are LOTS of safety precautions. If you aren't comfortable with that fact, then this might not be the product for you. Please go into this purchase understanding exactly what it is and is not used for.We have a Wave Spa 6 person hexagon inflatable tub. It heats up at the rate of approximately 1 degree every 2 hours in average or warm weather. A couple weeks ago we had a cold spell where temperatures dipped into the teens twice and didn't get above 40 for an entire week. And our spa just could not keep up. It was set at 104, but within 2 days got below 100 and eventually ended up sitting at 96. Didn't get to use the spa at all that week. So, I went on an internet quest to find out what I could do to be able to continue using my hot tub this winter. I made two adjustments - one was an inflatable cover piece that sits on top of the water and the other was this immersion heater. The inflatable cover helped a lot with maintaining the temperature, but it wasn't doing anything to get the temperature to rise. Here's exactly what I did:First, we intentionally lowered the temperature by enjoying some hot tub time with the bubbles going and then topping up the water out of the faucet. After doing those two things, the temperature was at 96. I dropped the immersion heater in the water, then placed the inflatable on top of the water. After that I ran an extension cord to plug into an interior outlet just inside the back door. I DID NOT plug it into the same outlet as my hot tub. I checked on it regularly. After 3 hours, my hot tub was at 103. That was a 7 degree increase in 3 hours. My tub would normally take a bit over 12 hours to have that large of an increase. So, there is definitely a huge difference.Currently my setup has the heater in the tub, the inflatable above, and the cover latched on top. The heater IS NOT plugged in. When I get home from work, if the tub is not up to temp, I simply plug in the heater. When it reaches temp, I unplug the heater. When I'm ready to use the tub, I simply remove everything. The heater sits on a shelf in my gazebo. This setup is working amazingly well for me. But follow the rules. Do not touch the water if the heater is on. Do not have the heater plugged in unless it is immersed in water. Do not plug into the same outlet as the hot tub. And don't just leave it running while you leave the house or go to sleep. Easy to follow and it solves a major problem.
