About this item

  • Easy to Use: The heat set inserts is matched with M3 soldering tips. Use the soldering iron sleeve to connect it accordingly. It can be embedded in the plastic by heating, and then connected with our M3 screws of the corresponding size for easy operation and replacement.
  • Solid Material: The threaded inserts for plastic is made of solid brass, which is strong and will not rust. The even and tight threads make it firmly fixed in the accessories. The smooth threads inside make the screws etc. Seamless connection, can be used for a long time without loosening.
  • M3 Threaded Inserts: Our set contains 200 pcs of commonly used M3 heat set inserts, outer diameter 5mm, length 4mm inserts, and comes with small tweezers and a box with labels, which can be easily stored and carried.
  • Strong Stability: The design of the spiral knurled nut provides a tightening torque, making it difficult to fall off when rotating during use. It can be firmly fixed on the pressure-bearing component and has strong stability.
  • Widely Used: M3 knurled nut assortment kit can be applied to thermoplastics such as PPS, ABS, PP, etc. It can be used with soldering iron heating or ultrasonic embedding, and can be used to reinforce 3D printed parts and assemble plastic parts, etc.

The product picture has "5 mm" as the diameter of the bottom (non-knurled edge), which is nonsense.Mitutoyo-san says it's 6.15mm.The other dimensions are correct. 7.0mm long, and 7.0mm outer diameter of knurled edge.

These work great! Must ensure hole is just under sized. If you can get the heated insert tool that hooks to a soldering iron that screws on or is bolted on that is better than the slip ons. Either works but the slip ons tend to fall off.I use these on all of my 3D prints that get screwed together. I have designed and built 3 laser cutters using them as well as other items.

These are for m2.5 bolts, so make sure you're using them for tiny holes. So far they've been easy enough to insert and are holding the bolts as I would expect them to.

They work perfectly for my 3D printing projects! Heating them into place was surprisingly satisfying, and they hold threads like a champ. I’ll probably have enough to last me through this life and the next. Highly recommend for anyone tired of janky screws in their prints!

I received this Hapric 200 Pcs M3 Threaded Inserts for Plastic in November 2024. I received the "M3 x D5 x L4" version. The item I received matched the Amazon product page description and pictures with the exception of one of the pictures. On one of the pictures it shows what appears to be a black knob next to the inserts. This suggests the knob is included with the set. However the product description and specifications does not mention any type of knob being included with the set and the picture I mentioned is the only place on the product page that shows/mentions the knob. I am not entirely sure what this knob is and I don't have a need for it so it didn't matter to me it wasn't in the set I received. The set does include a very basic tweezer. The inserts themselves worked well for my needs. I like this particular design of insert with the 2 rows of knurls where the rows have knurls in opposite directions. I have had the best results with this style of insert and these inserts held well in the project I used them on. I applied these inserts to my 3D print using a soldering iron.I think these inserts work good and are worth considering if you are looking for heat inserts like these.
