Makes watering so much easier than crawling on the floor and fighting branches with the Christmas tree. Just make sure you hang the funnel from a sturdy branch.

A confession:I routinely put products that Amazon sells to different uses than their original purposes. This is one such. While this is, indeed, an ideal way to water your Christmas tree, given that I'm 6-4 and I used to have to crawl under the Christmas tree in order to water it, I'm using it differently. This is all very confusing to someone who doesn't own a boat with fluid disposal issues, but here's the short story:We own an inboard engine-driven motorboat. Generally speaking, changing the oil filter places great risk of having oil go everywhere in the very confined space that these engines usually live.Enter this marvelous system: I thread the drain tube out the bilge (the bottom of the boat were any water would collect should it make it inside the boat) drain hole.I put the funnel under the oil filter. I use the convenient attachment point to secure it while I use my hands to puncture the bottom of the oil filter. The oil in the filter drains into this lovely funnel, down the drain tube, and into the oil jug outside the boat, that I have awaiting the used oil.Once the filter is drained, I spin it off, and sit it inside this funnel as I move it to a point where I can then put it into a disposal bag.A quick swipe with a paper towel gets the oil which is on the surface of the interior of the funnel, a small cork in the end of the drain tube keeps any remaining potential dribbles from soiling where we keep it until the next time, and off the assembly goes for the next oil change. If I can drain really messy oil very neatly, and to a very directed output, this will do a marvelous job of delivering water to the bottom of your Christmas tree and into whatever you use for a stand, without your having to bend!I love it 😁
