I bought one last year for my sister but she didn’t get to use it until this year. I bought one for our tree this year and I love it. It made caring for the tree so much easier and mixing in the miracle grow was very simple.3 things I wish were differentThe light is hard to see with the lid onThe surrounding gift box is cardboard and I worry it won’t last longThe alarm goes off at every time of the day including 2 am. That was annoying but it does what it is supposed to do.

No messing around with syphon science trial and error: Is it flowing? Do I need to raise the tank a little or lower it a little...a waste of time to get it working. This is a tank with a motorized pump that has a sensor and water flow tube which is tied to the tree just above the tree stand. The tube and sensor is in the water. Once the tree drinks water and the water level goes below the sensor...water is pumped from the tank into the stand and stops when it reaches the sensor. It's a simple idea and it works very well. It's a large tank so you can leave your tree alone for days. The tank is "disguised" inside what looks like a large gift box. I highly recommend this product.

I got tired of writing Amazon reviews long ago. But once in a while a product comes along that really does deserve one.This truly is a tree watering system, and it works exactly as described and like a charm.I've fiddled with several cheap gravity-fed ones over the years, but this year we got a 9-foot tree -- fresh cut at a tree farm -- that will have a pretty big Christmas village around it. A situation calling for extra care: beautiful tree, with all the miniature village stuff blocking the way to the tree stand. Of course, if you don't keep your tree watered with tree preservative, the needles start falling very soon all over your fun snow scenes down below, and it just looks like a mess. Watering has always been the one thing that has made me say "This just isn't worth it." But that problem is gone now.The HoHoHoH2o tree waterer has been going for a week, automatically feeding a nourishing solution into the little well of the tree stand. The system lights up when the tank is empty, but it hasn't lit up yet. I've kept checking, thinking "That can't be right." But sure enough, the 2.5 gallon tank is still 1/3rd full, the tree stand well is topped off, and the tree is doing great. Once you get the water level sensor strapped onto the tree trunk with the supplied velcro strap, the rest could not be simpler.A key thing: it doesn't matter how big or small your tree stand well is, or whether it's high up or low to the floor. The super-quiet little electric pump and sensors take care of all those variables. Your tree is just watered, and watered, and watered, without a drop spilled.What a great product. And I love how this was invented and developed by a small business to take care of a problem that normally just creates holiday drudgery. I'm telling all friends about it too. You know what? I feel smarter having bought this.

This year we bought a smaller tree stand (very impractical for keeping water in stand). So an automatic tree watering system was a must-have! After reading reviews I knew this was the one I needed and it did not disappoint. I’m SO HAPPY I spent money on this system. It’s so easy, it keeps the water level exactly where I want it, the box is cute, looks like a present under the tree, you don’t even have to think about it (it’s operates so quietly too!). It’s the best item I’ve bought this season. So thankful they made such a great product! I recommend it to anyone that wants to keep their fresh Christmas tree happy and not dried out. L.O.V.E. It!

I recommend this product.We always have a 13-foot Christmas tree that we cut down on the first weekend of December. These trees are so large they require a lot of watering. I am so happy with the HO HO HO H2O watering system. It was easy to set up and use, taking away all the stress and worry about the tree not having enough water.

Take it from someone who has owned and used several of the other types of Christmas tree watering systems over the years. You know the ones that use gravity feed syphon principle to fill the tree and comes with the flimsy plastic water containers inside a paper thin card board box and you have to keep a certain water level in the box plus position the box and the watering tube certain way to get them to work. Well no more. The HoHoHoH2O gets rid of all that. The HoHoHoH2o is an electronically controlled fully automatic Christmas tree watering system. It has a solid hard plastic water tank which has a pump, a float inside the tank to sense the water level and a control panel to operate it . The tank is concealed in a thick sturdy card board Christmas gift box. The water levels sensor for the tree stand is an electronic 2 prong metal sensor. Each sensor is a slightly different length. You place the sensor vertically in the tree stand a few inches above the bottom of the stand or at what ever water level you want in the stand. Secure it with long green velcro strap which comes with it. It also comes with a plastic drip tray that sits on top of the tank when filling it to protect it from drips when filling. The water tube that goes from the box to the tree stand is approximately 3 ft long and is covered with plastic green spiral wrap. You position the gift box where you want under the tree, fill the 2 1/2 gal tank with water and plug it in and turn it on. When the water level in the tree stand comes in contact with both sensors the control board shuts off the water pump inside the tank. When the water level drops and one of the sensors is no longer contacting the water, the pump switches back on filling the tree until both sensor come in contact with the the water and shuts the pump off. When the level in the tank gets low the float switch will turn on either a red blinking light which you can see through a small hole in the top of the box or it can emit beeping sound to let you know the water needs to be refilled, your choice. I have mine set to make a beeping sound this way I don't have to remember to check for the light. It will just start beeping. To coin a phrase..You just set it and for get it. It will tell you when you need to fill the tank. The HoHoHoH2o automatic tree watering system may be priced higher than the rest but it is worth every penny. It has sturdy plastic water tank with a larger screw on fill cap with a rubber seal, it is well designed, it plug into the wall ( no batteries) and will last for years. It will save your back. You no longer will have to crawl under your tree, knocking off and breaking ornaments, just to check and fill the water every couple of days. Customer service is outstanding. Which now a days is impossible to find. The drip tray that came with mine was damaged in shipping. I contacted the seller on a Monday. He shipped a new tray the next day (Tuesday) and had it in my hand 2 days later, Thursday. If you are looking for an automatic tree watering system that will last for many Christmases to come, look no further. The HoHoHoH2o is it.

Every year we routinely forget to water our tree in the first week and it always goes dry. This product has worked like a charm and the tree is still alive and well and being watered all on its own. It’s the little things like this that makes me happy lol wish it was cheaper but if it lasts for years I’ll be ok with it.
