While I could not figure out how to make this work on a timer, I can say that it works! I didn't have any issues with it leaking.

Cute and clever way to make sure your tree stays nice and healthy during the holidays. Not too big and easy to store, easy to set up, use, and works great. Colors are vibrant and beautiful, design is adorable.

Disappointed to say the least. The instructions are written in very poor English to the point that it was really hard to figure things out with our re-reading over and over again. I placed the plastic bladder in the box, attached it via the velcro and filled it to halfway. Everything seemed fine. The timer looks like you would plug it in. Again, instructions are very unclear. You plug it in and the only thing that displays is CON. After much searching I found a very obscure instruction stating that this means Charging. The controls do not work until it is charged. Armed with that knowledge I left it overnight to charge, half full of water. The next morning the display changed to COF which mean it was ready. Nope! I unplugged the charger, the display blinked, and nothing was responsive. Next I felt the carpet around the box and the it was damp. The bladder leaked all over and the bottom of the box was soaked.Not a quality product. It is going back and I can only hope there are better products out there. The instructions are poor and the interfaces are confusing. I would look for other products that have a better system to protect from leaking. Disappointed!

Update: Box definitely leaks. Half the water in the box was in the cookie sheet I set this on top of to protect my floor. I transferred water into a jug instead and I'm still using the pump. It pumps well but I still don't think I'd trust creating a timer for this. It's really nice that I can set this off to the side in a more convenient place rather than crawling under the tree or one of those big ugly funnel things I've seen on other trees.Original post: Instructions are a very bad translation with words that make no sense. I’m not sure if it’s leaking or if it’s just condensation off the plastic liner but my floor was wet so it’s now sitting on a cookie sheet. Either way, the cute outer box doesn’t protect against leaks at all. I couldn’t figure out how to schedule the watering but not sure I want that happening without supervision anyway since the tree will drink less as time goes by. But you can just push a button to do the watering, then push again to stop. Much easier than crawling under the tree to try to pour water in.
