This felt comes rolled up. It's rather on the stiff side, not soft and pliable like craft felt. It's about 3/32 of an inch thick. I would say it could be used even for something like a felt board in a classroom, not just for gardening purposes. And it's on the economical side, given how long it is.

This gets four stars for meeting expectations, for me five stars is something that exceeds my expectations, this meets my expectations which is still very good.I ordered these rolls to help with a little portable greenhouse I have on the patio. I didn't want my potted seedlings to roast between the cement of the patio and the plastic sheeting which only opens so much for fresh air. By putting the liner down I have some insulation from the cement as well as something that will soak up any water runoff from the plants, which will then evaporate into the greenhouse giving us moderate humidity. By offering a long roll I can cut these to the size I need - whether its to layer beneath my seedlings or inside some of my potted flower boxes the materiel will work. This is a non-woven material which means it is a breathable plastic based material and something you may want to consider if growing food items or want something biodegradable at the end of the season. This is the type of material you can rinse out, dry and roll up for next planting season.
