We got tired of the bears knocking over the garbage and having to clean up a mess up and down our property. This item works great. Sorry " Smokey " !

I ended up purchasing a lock for my trash can with hooks on both ends. On this one, the end without a hook never held secure. My suggestion is that this comes with some sort of fastener to keep that end from slipping.

These work great. The material is very stretchy, which makes me worry about how it will hold up in the sun. They do lock the lid down tight.
