I bought this set of hygrometers to monitor humidity in my guitar cases, especially during the dry winter months where we live (midwest United States). If the environment is too dry, the woods can crack. At US$9.99 for a set of two this seems like a real bargain! I have many guitar cases and the question I'm asking myself is "How many of these should I be buying?"The set includes two hygrometers and each has an included LR44 battery and a spare (a nice touch). The display is easily changed between Farenheight and Celcius with a tap of a button on the back of the unit. The units appeared to be measuring temperature and humidity accurately. They're so small, they'll fit anywhere.The hygrometers also have mounting features so that you could snap them into a hole cut into something like a guitar case or cigar humidor. This way you can see the temperature and humidity values without opening up the case. Note that this isn't an advertised feature, so I'm just guessing on the function of the little tabs here. You definitely don't need to mount these to use them. You can just toss them whereever you need to know the humidity.These units could be made even better if dew point was available on the display. I find dew point more useful to manage the level of moisture in an environment because it is independant of temperature. I'm probably in the minority on this one and I wouldn't fault the manufacturer for not adding this feature.

These temperature & humidity gauges seem to be designed to clip into a certain-sized hole in a casing or container for some specific use , but they also work fine as temperature gauges hanging on my walls. They could be useful in many other ways also.They come with a bezel, I believe it’s called, on the front, and plastic sort of clips on top and bottom of the back. So they would snap easily into a right-sized hole in maybe a terrarium or a box containing anything you wanted to keep tabs on.I mention this because their description page shows several uses, but none of the pictures showed the device itself in the family room, baby room, piano, greenhouse, refrigerator, or pet house; nothing to show exactly how to use them.They don’t come with holes for hanging from a nail, or magnets for attaching to a file cabinet, or adhesive for sticking on a bathroom mirror.But, if you are even a little bit crafty, you will find ways to place them where you want to use them.The larger number is humidity, but the temperature display is also easy to read.The two gages agreed with each other exactly. They agreed within one degree Fahrenheit with my thermostat and with a spirit thermometer on my wall, which is very good.And, at the price, two or four could come in handy.

That part was confusing, as I knew that I didn't order any thermometers. It is a hygrometer, with the humidity level being the larger number and the temperature being the smaller number.These hygrometers are round. You can place them inside guitar (or other instrument) cases to monitor humidity for your expensive musical instruments. You can also use these to insert into round cut outs to display humidity inside a box (for things like cigars or 3D filament).They use small LR44 type button batteries.What I liked:1) Easy to read humidity display.2) The battery is already inserted with the hygrometer ready to use. (Although they didn't tell you that, so I wound up opening up the battery compartment anyway.)3) They did include an extra battery in each box.4) It only requires 1 battery (my other hygrometers require 2 batteries each).Now for the annoying parts:1) The instructions are not well written. The instruction sheet is very small with very small print.2) The on/off button on the back is the small triangle cut out. It is not a true button. It is easy to miss, as it is made as one piece with the back. It is flat, so you can't tell it is a button by feel. You do a long press to turn the hygrometer on and off. You do a double press to change from C to F temperature.3) The battery compartment is hard to remove. You can't slide it off with your fingers. You will need to find a dime or penny to remove the battery cover.4) You wind up opening the battery cover up to insert a battery, only to find that it already has a battery inserted. (And that the battery inside the package is an extra battery.) Since the battery compartment is tricky to open, this just causes frustration. This information should be included in the instructions.5) The box is labelled as a thermometer, when it is a hygrometer. That was confusing, as I initially thought that I had received the wrong product.6) A lot of frustration with this product could be avoided with better instructions. The instruction sheet's print is too small, and information is left out. I should not need a magnifying glass to read the instructions. The instruction's grammar and phrasing are poor, with a lot of information that you don't need at the top of the instruction sheet. Some of the information that you do need is not included. The instructions need rewriting with the important information at the *top* of the page (battery is pre-installed, comes with an extra battery, use a dime to remove the battery cover, a better drawing of the on/off button, how to turn the hygrometer on/off, how to change from C to F).This is a functional and useful product with a few annoying quirks. The temperature was very close (less than 1 degree off) to my other hygrometers, but the humidity was 3% off.

I ordered these to help me cure my first ever cannabis grow. They come with batteries and work right out of the box. Highly recommend.

So far so good. They can be a little difficult to read unless at the exact right angle but so far, reading temps well and helping me regulate my greenhouse.
