I love these! They are so easy to clean and I use these for my chickens. You can adjust the temp as they grow and they really work well. Every other thing I've tried has not even come close to this. I definitely think they are amazing!

Has temp control like other reviews but no markings to go by. Used a heat gun to find close to setting I desired and created a mark. Then when I put it under enclosure took heat gun to check inside and made another adjustment marked again. I'm not real fond of heating this way got to be something better that feels safer. Heat elements in plastic under plastic or glass on top of wood. I mean reality if it goes bad what could happen Right. It seems pretty well made with plastic around some sort of metallic like heat coils and electric. What could go wrong. Ok my fears. Seriously seem pretty sturdy controls are a bit wonky do to no markings to go buy. Use thermostat inside of enclosure to make sure what your getting.

These seem like a good deal, but after using them for a while (less than 2 months) it has become apparent that they only heat on part of the large pad. Roughly a 1/3rd of the heating space, and then that space becomes warped. It's very disappointing.

I use these under the tanks of 2 of my leopard geckos. I plugged it in and tested it with my hand at different points on the temperature knob. Be careful - this thing gets hot! You don’t want to burn your pets! At the halfway point this thing was way too hot so I know it would be too hot for my geckos. I found that turning the temp knob only a quarter of the way on was a safe, warm temp. Make sure you test this before using. I also placed a protective heat mat under these to protect my furniture (even though I don’t turn it on full but just as a precaution). I recommend only if you’re careful

I can’t believe it, I lift my enclosure up and there is dirt coming out the bottom and a giant hole melted straight through.

The mat heats up quickly and looks like the pictures. It has no adhesion though and both sides heat up evenly so you gotta be careful where you got it set up. There is also no way to know how hot the mat is as it is just a dial control with no numbers.

These heat mats are FANTASTIC!!! I love the fact that there is NO STICKY BOTTOM because I can reuse it on multiple habitats if need be... We use HVAC aluminum tape to adhere it to the bottom of the snake's enclosures... It gets HOT... The ONLY thing I would suggest to improve the product is that if the temperature control dial had markings so you would know how far from the "off" position you are that would really help... The control dial is VERY easy to move, so having it bumped could set the pad off temp.. It would be super nice if it "clicked" between settings so you could have some idea as to where it is "set" at.. Other than that, it is PERFECT!! I highly recommend the product!

I run the excellent Pymeter dual station temp controllers in combination with these unit heat pads to prevent my DWC tanks from getting too cold during lights out sessions that can get very chilly here on Vancouver Island, Canada. The Pymeter has two independently controlled plug-ins, slaved to two independent, waterproof sensors (on exceptionally long wires - take note inkbird), I run 5x5 tents, each with two 17 or 27-gallon reservoirs. With these unsquishable pads underneath and plugged into the Pymeter that hangs on wall outside tent I can glance read temp of water and automate protection from cold. The setup of course does nothing to combat warm temps, but it does always show me what the temps are at a glance which is a good start. Ideal would be a wifi hookup and app for the Pymeter but it, like these warmers, otherwise really are fit for purpose and can be forgotten about when dialed in. I also use these to control the temps inside a large cardboard box I use to spawn mycelium culture inside of canning jars, with. Again using a temp controller I can tune to myceliums prefered temp and unlike traditional seed warmers these do not have hotspots. I prefer these to trad. seed warmers totally now. Get a number of sizes and have some temp controllers on hand. Inkbird for wifi and Pymeter for dual station and longer probe wire, which is a big, big plus.

I had to put white paint on the dial to see the controls, but the heat mat works well.

Both heat mats work and don’t take long to warm up/cool down. but trying to set for a specific temp is almost impossible. Adjustable temp knob has no settings so you basically just ‘guess’ what setting it’s on. It’s also super touchy. Sometimes barely touching the knob will made a 10°+/- difference. They work, but probably wouldn’t buy again
