The welds are so tiny I wouldn’t trust them to not corrode and fail quickly. I would not trust them with heaver loads. I didn’t install them. Cheap junk.

We already had bars in the bathroom, but we used these at the top of the stairs. We feel very secure. The price was great.

I found the studs in the wall and installed the bar vertically so both ends were attached to the studs. The wall anchors were then too long since they were hitting the studs and had to be cut down and then I drilled through the anchors into the studs so the screws would easily go into the studs. I only put two screws on each end rather than three and the bar was firmly attached to the studs. This all took about an hour to complete. (There are good videos on youtube on how to find the studs without a stud finder.)
