I bought the pack of 2 12 inch grab bars for the little too tall distance between my den and kitchen. I am planning to use the second one in the bathroom shower. It appears to be of the right size, won't stick out too much and is safe to use. I would definitely recommend it.

We mounted it on the wall for my husband who only has the use of one arm to stabilize himself getting up from the bed. Installation was easy The rubber grips are good for support and so far no issues with the screws coming loose. Husband is 6' tall and 189 pounds.

Grab bars should always be mounted to a stud. Since these are only 12" long, they would need to be installed vertically for both ends to be on a stud unless extra support was prebuilt into the wall. If you have to install them horizontally or diagonally, be sure at least one end is on a stud.The screws that come with these grab bars are too short in my opinion. I would get longer screws to install them with. If one end must use the drywall anchors, then the screws on that end are fine. The ring plates tend to slip off after installation. If you have that problem, a tiny amount of silicone will help to keep them in place, but don't glue them too well in case you ever want to remove them again.The rubberized grips have a nice feel to them and grip well. The overall appearance of these grab bars is attractive.In conclusion, if these are for general support, they will work very well for that. But, if these are for a person who depends on them for safety, make sure they are securely fastened at both ends by longer screws and are secured to studs.The only thing I don't like about these grab bars is that the ring plates do not secure tightly and may slip off. I give these grab bars 4 out of 5 stars.

I bought this for my mom and put it in the bathroom and I love it. It was very easy to put together and it is very solid on the wall. The rubber on the grip is also very nice.
