This is not a quality guitar bridge but an exact replacement for an old Harmony kids guitar my son had in the mid 80s. I just wanted to refurbish the guitar as a keepsake. Everything fit perfect, even used the same screw holes.

I had an old 60's no-name Japanese 1-pickup electric guitar in need of a stable tailpiece and saw this so decided to order. It came packaged in multiple plastic bags and all was OK. First thing I noticed was the incredibly flimsy stamped tin bridge saddle - - it's hollow on the underside and is no doubt the cheapest and thinnest piece of garbage I've ever seen for use on a guitar. (I notice that there are no pictures of the saddle from beneath, and now I know why). It is literally the gauge of a tin can, and no way would it work as the piece where all the string tension and tone would transfer to the bridge and pickup. Otherwise, the rest of the hardware was OK. The bridge itself is a bit shorter than the original, but the screw holes line up perfectly and the adjusting screws are fine. I'll probably just use the old bridge, as I made a brass saddle for it anyway, and put the new bridge away for a later day. The main reason I ordered this set was for the tailpiece, which seems fairly substantial, and it will work fine for my purposes. The plating on these pieces is a bit rough, like the metal was not properly smoothed before the plating process, but again these are reproductions, and one shouldn't expect the same quality as the 60's originals, especially for this price. These issues aside, this tailpiece at least is a good cheap replacement and will do just fine for my old guitar. Just be aware of the bridge saddle issue and be prepared to find something to use as a saddle that is more solid.

I purchased this skeptical, because of some of the other reviews. I found it to be of great quality. Yes, the bridge is a molded piece but it’s still sturdy. The price is great, the shipping was fast, I was really impressed. I don’t know how big of a gauge of strings the people that had problems with this were installing, but I just used a 10-48 set and have had no problems whatsoever.

Originally the guitar came with the vibrato, but it was missing several parts and was horribly unstable for consistent tuning. I converted to a hardtail using these parts and they worked great! Seem to be of decent quality, at least as good as the cheap stuff Teisco put on them back in the day.

Great Set For A Project Guitar! I wouldn’t say that these are professional grade but they do the trick and a have a great vintage look!
