I love this hammer!! I used it as a work tool for my leather craft. The broad striking surface and the heavier weight makes it absolutely perfect for safety when using smaller tools. The grip is wonderful, perfect for my hands. It looks and feels really well made, I love the finish on the metal. It works like a charm for what I need. The balance of it seems good, between the size and weight I don't have any issues. Seriously for the price and size, it's hard to beat. I 100% recommend it for crafting more than construction work. The size is perfect for getting that little extra bit of heft into more dense materials.

This hammer is nice for getting into tighter spaces where a normal length handled hammer might not fit. The handle on this is approximately hand-sized, so it's like having a 1lb head strapped to your hand. Not a lot of leverage, but if there isn't much space you have to take what you can get! The handle is comfortable and contoured to fit your hand. I'm probably going to mainly use one side of this because that comfort fit also makes it directional. The head is symmetrical, though, so that directional handle is OK whether you are right or left-handed.

This hammer is small and mighty - it has a good heft for the size, with a decent hammering surface area.The striking face is approx. 31.5mm x 31.5mm (or 1 1/4" x 1 1/4")The handle is comfortable to grip.The main drawback - I don't have huge hands, but my hands are uncomfortably close to the head of the hammer when using. (I typically wear medium size gloves.)I wish the handle was a bit longer, but since there is a bit of a heel on the bottom of the handle, I can actually grip it ok with my pinky hanging past the bottom of the handle, with my ring finger up against the raised heel of the handle. Gripping it this way gets my hand a bit further away that I feel more comfortable in the off chance of a miss-hit.
