It just works.

When used with a Cisco Catayst switch, the front of the switch sticks out a full inch. Making it impossible to use in a road case with covers for travelling without disconnecting all of the wiring every time the covers are put on to pack the equipment into the van.

Installed on Cisco 1000 Series, 16 port.1000 series is not listed but has the same mounting as the old 2960c series.

The genuine rack ears for Cisco legacy network equipment are often not included when purchasing second-hand equipment, and are frequently sold at overinflated prices on the second-hand market. In these cases, I prefer to purchase third-party rack ears. The price is typically a small-fraction of genuine second-hand Cisco rack ears. The mechanical fit is often, but not always, functionally as good as the genuine item. In a few cases, the rack ears I received were slightly deformed, apparently by compression, and putting them back in shape, although possible, requires a bench-attached heavy-duty vise and quite a bit of physical effort.Although rack ears are made from thick iron plate, they are not as resistant to deformation as they may look if significantly maltreated (walked on, stacked under heavy crates, tossed around in heavy sacks with insufficient padding. In spite of looking like simple pieces of iron hardware, any slight bending or twisting will cause rack-mounted equipment not to fit properly when mounted in rack cabinets. The ones I received were scantily padded, or not at all. Perhaps Amazon should use the same care when packing rack ears and other rack parts, as they do with more delicate items. Perhaps the makers of these items should also stop treating them like potatoes or rocks, and package them reasonably well from the start.

Used this for a Cisco 2960L-16 ports switch and fits very well, very sturdy and easy installation with just one screw per bracket, build quality also very nice

Serves it's purpose, looks and works like original just has a little more material than the Cisco ones. Would recommend if you need the rack mounts.

I was surprised, they fit perfectly and are well made, very strong. Probably stronger than the Cisco switch they are attached to.

Compared these with original mounts from Cisco - the differences are cosmetic. Sturdy build, exact fit and a fraction of the Cisco price. Installed about 20 of them so far and have not experienced any issues.

I'm usually weary of getting "compatible" items, but these have worked great for my 8 port cisco switches. I would recommend these and would purchase again.

this is an after-market product that is not actually manufactured by cisco. FITS perfectly. i used it with the WS-C2960L-8PS-LL switches. great low price, solid construction, heavy duty metal, not cheap or flimsy. i could not tell it from the cisco's.
