This fan is remarkably well-built with all steel construction and a heavy-duty mounting bracket.The bracket is quite sturdy. See the picture showing how it's two layers thick where the mounting strap and support brace come together, rather than the more typical single layer with a simple welded brace.Installation was easy and straightforward.It moves a lot of air in my three-car garage. That said, it's January here in New England, so I haven't used it other than to quickly clear some exhaust fumes. The airflow will likely help dry wet cars quickly, so I will likely install an automatic shutoff timer.Now perhaps a heater might be a good addition to my garage!Verdict:Recommended.Get it!

We mounted it to a beam on our gazebo it moves a lot of air. and easy to install. Would recommend it is a good deal on a good quality fan. Fit nicely where it is, very good fan, Thanks

Went together easy enough. I use this in my garage it does the job very well.I prefer the pull chains to control it since it is in the garage, we have other wall fans in the house with remotes but for the garage I prefer point of use pull chains. I would recommend it to anyone.

Unfortunate copywriters have to invent something exceptional about every standard product, but there is also a demand for products that are simply good examples of the standard: just because the ham sandwich was invented 100 years ago doesn't mean that a fresh one doesn't taste good today, and in particular if you want lunch!This wall-mounted fan is ruggedly simple. The brackets in particular are made from heavy-guage spot-welded steel that looks like it would support doing pull-ups (not recommended). The cage, motor, and blades are neat and shipshape and free of manufacturing blemish. The smaller 18" model reviewed here lacks oscillation, which makes it even more compactly rugged, and the four position pull-chain switch is a perfectly satisfying anachronism. The only possible quality lapses that I saw were plastic knobs locking in the tilt adjustment, a seemingly consumer grade feature out of keeping with the otherwise rugged design, and the paper label branding on the hub.*I would not agree that this is a loud fan. It is an industrial style open-cage fan with larger blades, and the 18" style at least is quiet for its class: it's not an air purifier, but a shop fan. Bottom line is, the fan has rugged, functional good looks; good enough looking for example that it could complement an industrial-themed bar or man cave. Looks good/runs good, as my mechanic used to say.*a byproduct of the system where an anonymous manufacturer sells product through distributors who literally slap on their own ephemeral brand names.

This fan is great for our garage. We have it hanging in the corner. It is easily to position it exactly where you want it. The noise level is what is expected for a large outdoor style fan.

This fan is large and heavy, and can really move some air. It seems well built and coated to (hopefully) stand up outdoors and not rust. However, it is rather loud, especially in a closed area. Turning it up to high sounds like you need to clear the runway for takeoff.I'd definitely recommend the fan if the noise is not an issue. It's going up in my shed to provide some airflow when working, so it's less of an issue for me (though I will have to turn up the music even more lol).

This is a nice fan for a garage type location, somewhere noise isn't a big issue, because it's loud. Even on its lowest setting it's loud. But it has a lot of power which is most important to me because I'm installing it in my garage to cool it down in the summer and to help push out welding fumes and the like. It's got a nice sturdy mount included and the only thing I'd have liked them to include would be a remote. Since it has a chain pull for turning it on and off and changing speed, if you mount it high up you're going to either have to lengthen the chain or add a remote, so including it would have been nice but isn't a deal killer. Overall it's a very nice, powerful fan and a pretty good deal for what you get.
