There are dozens of variations of Deutsch connectors out there--these work great and still much cheaper than the "high end" versions. The pins supplied with the kit are the "stamped" version --so if you're a purist you can buy the closed barrel pins--but the open ones work well with a standard crimper--so need to buy a Deutsch style crimper.

I ordered the 2-pin with 8 pairs of connectors kit. It comes with all the pieces to make 8 complete sets of DT connectors. There are 8 plug and receptacle pairs, 8 wedge locks for the plugs and 8 wedge locks for the receptacles, and 24 pin and socket contacts. Only 16 pins and sockets are needed so you're getting 8 extra of each type in case you make a few errors crimping the pins and sockets.There are also 5 sealing plugs if you have empty pin holes. Since I ordered all 2 pin connectors, I doubt that I'll ever use them. There are also 2 mounting clips and a pin removal tool included.I will be using these connectors on my boat to provide a reasonable waterproof connector.All-in-all, this is a nice complete kit for creating DT connectors.My rating method:1 star - terrible. I wouldn't consider buying it.2 stars - marginal at best. Doesn't meet the minimum requirements or quality to be useful. Buy it at your own risk.3 stars - average. Meets the quality and requirements for a product of this type but is nothing out of the ordinary. If the price is good, I'd probably buy it.4 stars - better than average. Exceeds the typical quality of a product of this type and has a few extra features not usually found on other products of this type. I'd buy it.5 stars - exceptional - far exceeds the quality of products of this type. Hard to beat the quality and features included. Best value for the money. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

Good fit and finish with just a minor issue of the package arriving with 4 pin locks. Seller is sending a second package to rectify. Wouldn't hesitate to buy again. Also picked up their 2 pin variant!

Connectors work well, good contact on the pins. The parts are mixed up in the trays but not a huge deal. My only complaint is the locking tabs in the connectors don't hold the pins in place when you're installing them. They lock in place fine when the locking tabs is installed but assembling the connector is a little tricky. But for this price, I'll deal with it.

My 6 pin kit came with the retainers for 4 pin connectors, and my 4 pin kit came with retainers for 6 pin connectors. If I had only bought one or the other, they would not have been complete and would not have worked.Otherwise everything is good.

After processing a return and replacement, both packages came the same way. The receptacle with the male connectors have a green wedge lock. Both set the green lock it to large to fit in the receptacle to lock the pins in place. The plug side has an orange lock and they fit perfectly. Notice the difference in size in the locks. The orange lock will fit both receptacle and the plug width wise but it to tall for the receptacle. You can see the difference in height amongst the two. Long story short, tried 2 different packages and both did not work. Don’t waste your time and money on this kit
