The design and product are very good. However not having extra pins has meant that every failed crimp results in a useless assembly.Dear Manufacturer/ how about some extra pins to allow the expected failed crimps while assembling for the general public. We are not all electricians.

I bought these to use on a bicycle with a removable dynamo front wheel. Assembly is a bit fiddly, but I expected that. The first crimp failed my pull test and wasted a pin, but again, no surprise. The next four crimps were fine. I could not get the tabs to click/lock on the first female shell, but they locked on the second one. In use, these connectors give excellent weather sealing, and a positive lock when mated, but easy to decouple without the need for tools. I would say there’s just a small learning curve to making them work.

I am installing a new engine into an older car and needed to replace the now mismatched connectors from the old car harness and the new engine harness. These connectors offered a high quality, easy to use, and affordable solution. I've used 3 connectors so far and the results of been excellent.

This product was used to connect several strands of 18-gauge thermostat wire for attic fans (a hot, unattended environment). I originally chose this product over connecting with quick connectors.Pros: A very elegant, professional-looking connection solutionCons: There are a lot of parts that have to fit together just right to get a lasting electrical connection. The male/female terminals do not fit together very snugly out of the box The connections I got after assembly worked well initially, but became intermittent after a few daysI ended up removing the connectors from my wiring project and replacing them with male/female quick connectors which don't look as good, but have worked reliably since then.

The metal connectors are made from the flimsiest of metals. I used the recommended crimping tool and then tried again with a pair of needle-nose pliers. Each time, the metal connectors slipped right off with the slightest tug--failing the recommended "pull test." The rest of the hardware appears to be of good quality, but the key metal components are junk.

I decided to use these connectors for a lighting installation on my vehicle. They were easy to install and look like a factory installation. So far, they have worked well.

Was used in a project to install ditch lights. First couple were a bit challenging however after you figure out how to install them then all was good.

These connectors are simple to work with. All the connectors that were assembled while the vehicle was in the garage were great and easy to plug together and unplug when testing. 10 minutes after the vehicle was moved outside into the cold temperature of -8°C (17.6°F), all the retaining clips broke right off the 12 connectors when connecting them together. WAS NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!! Brand new connector installs held together with tie wraps until I find some more weather friendly ones. If you live in the southern warm climate I would recommend, otherwise I would not recommend.

I was originally going to buy pre made pigtails of this kind. But the thought of having splices makes it not so clean looking. At first it seems a bit complicated. But after examining it for a bit it is a smooth assembly. I have a nice electronic soldering station so dialing the right temperature made it easy. For my application I didn’t need it to be waterproof but the connection is.

Fussy to assemble but easy once you've done a few. Should deal well, will let you know in spring how well they sealed after snow melt.

I used these to put some lighting on my tractor. I wanted them to be somewhat weatherproof and removable if a light went out. I looked at several connectors and narrowed it down by price, quality, and simplicity. The connector is a little tricky to get the hang of, and not super sturdy if you need to disconnect them a lot, but they do the trick. I don't plan on unplugging them unless I need to, so they work for me.

These have worked wonderfully and I have yet to have an issue with one of these connectors. I've used this style from 1 pin up to 4 pin and they all work great. I have dozens of them on my car for a Holley engine harness. If you're trying to raise your wiring quality I highly recommend these. Way cheaper than Delphi or MilSpec connectors. Don't know what all the hate about for these connectors are from some of thr reviews... seems like people just don't know what they're doing or don't have the right tools for the job.Fair warning to those less experienced, you will need a proper crimping tool to assembly these correctly, and a special pin to dissamble the connects if that is ever needed (I have yet to disassembled one). These are ment for low amperage usage (Under 20 amps) and for smaller guage wire, 22-16 guage.
