I bought this to replace the original transformer that was installed on my deck and had ceased working. It was easy to install and is working fine.

This product was extremely easy to install for me as it matched the one, that had lasted about 20 years, exactly.Unplugged the old one. Removed the two wires going to the lights, reattached them to the new unit, rehung on exactly the same hanger. Plugged it into a surge protector. Turned to on to check the lights, then turned to the six hour mode that comes on at dusk.The only difference is this one is a Little heavier than the original which is fine.

I have several of these outdoor light transformers powering a wide variety of Moonrays and Malibu brand outdoor lights using LED bulbs. I’ve been very happy with these transformers and like them for a couple of reasons. 1) They are small and compact and easily mount using a single screw. 2) They have a simple control and are very easy to set dusk-to-dawn. 3) The photoelectric eye that senses darkness is built into the transformer (not a separate device like some transformers use). 4) They last a LONG time. My original purchase from over 8 years ago was still going strong until it took a lightning strike. Some people may not like this transformer because it does not have a clock whereby you could set a specific off and on time. I have those style transformers too but find the clock is always needing resetting and adds a level of complexity I don’t need in my outdoor lighting. I set everything from dusk to dawn and don’t have to worry about drifting clocks or resetting them after a power failure. These are are by far and away my favorite transformers and if you pair them with LED bulbed fixtures, you can power a LOT of lights. I have three in my yard and they all work great.

This low voltage transformer was easy to attach; works as advertised; was simple to set for night time timing and on/off functions. The small compact design allows it to be easily hidden and out of the way. Given the low wattage use of LSD lights, I did not use all the power built into this transformer but felt confident that I could add extra lighting in the future. The price made it a great value.

An exact replacement for my old, non working transformer that came with my Hampton Bay yard lights. At our Home Depot, the transformers in stock appeared to be programable meaning interior circuit board. I feel the circuit board distracts from the dependability and life. In other words the simpler the better.I am a non Prime member and the arrival of this unit came within three days. What a very nice service.The installation is nothing. I do recommend placing electrical wire spades on the end of the wires connecting to the transformer. It is worth the time to simply crimp on or solder. This just makes for a nicer, more dependable installation.Doug

Transformer was just installed. Well made. Instructions are terrible and translation is pathetic. Also notice that the light sensor turns off the lighting if porch lights are on so sensor should be better shielded. Otherwise well made and decent value for the wattage. Will see if the porch light issue becomes annoying.
