This is a great transformer that can handle all of my landscape lighting (not that I have much). All of my lighting are LED, so that helps pack even more into these. It is important to note the total wattage you are plugging into each channel, so that you don't overload it. This is seemingly well made and has held up well over the summer. The only drawback is that I wish this was Wi-Fi enabled to be able to control them remotely, but honestly the photocell sensor does what it needs to, and you can set them to a timer as well, so they aren't running all night if you don't want them to. Overall very satisfied with this!

This transformer works well for low voltage landscape lighting. We were able to install it to the side of our house and wired in both pathway lighting and tree uplights. It seems to be good quality and works well. I highly recommend it.

Very durable and good quality item. Really like the features on the display that allow for both manual and auto functions.

I resisted any landscape lighting that wasn’t solar because of my lack of understanding of low voltage wired landscape light fixtures and the necessary transformers. I finally did some research and the mystery disappeared and left me wondering why I’d waited so long! When I saw this transformer I picked it up because of its features and the simplicity of wiring the lights. I can set it to automatically turn on and off either by it sensing dusk and dawn or by a timer. The clock is easy to set to facilitate the timer. I can also choose manual on and off. This transformer has 2 inputs - 12V and 14V. Use is determined by what kind of lights you have and/or how many on one wire. Also, the total wattage is 398 (or 400 for easy math), you have to add the wattage of each light on both sides to ensure it is below 398. That’s easy enough.I have this mounted on our backyard shed at eye-level for me (I’m 5’1”) and plugged into the outdoor, weather proof outlet on the outside of the shed. Our landscape wiring is buried and runs under the rocks in the pool surround with the path lights illuminating the far side of the pool deck. I have plenty of room to add additional lights which I’ll be doing when I am done rebuilding the pool’s waterfall once the weather turns a little cooler. The hardest part for me, given that I am constrained by the existing structures (pool deck, walkways, etc), is laying out the lights and the path back to the transformer. Also, to add lights along the dark side of our house, I’ll have to add an exterior receptacle to mount another transformer. Now I get excited instead of intimidated by the prospect.

I wish I could say that I installed it myself but my handyman gets the credit. He had no issues installing it and it works like clockwork. I did notice that it appears to be solid and well made. A much better value than those sold at box home improvement stores.

I bought this transformer because it’s hard to find a high wattage transformer. I installed it along with my lights and after two days the lights started going on and off repeatedly all night long. I only had 180 W on the transformer which is supposed to handle 400 Watts. I had to return it and buy another transformer from a different vendor.
