I connected 4 PTC heaters (PTC Heating Element 5W-50W AC DC 12V 220 Degree) in parallel powered by a 100W 12V solar panel. When I connected the meter between the solar panel and the heaters, the display wouldn't turn on. When I disconnected one side of it, then the display turned on but all the numbers were zero, as expected. Not sure what's going on.

this item can handle a surge of amperage up to 80 for a short time. I already burned 2 with a 80 amps load... it just gets very hot and just poops up... the first one, the went bad within a couple of hours of use. the second one, lasted about maybe an hour at 94 amps load...

I use this to double check motor / ESC / Prop combos on planes before flight to make sure i won't burn up the ESC during flight. If you fly electrics, this is a must-have.

I was considering getting the Powerwerx version of this but didn't want to drop $60. This seems to work just fine. I put powerpoles on it and I connect it between a battery and radio (amateur radio operator). It does the job.

This wattmeter is handy. It records real time voltage and wattage but also Max wattage and Min voltage, which makes it easier to use without trying to take readings on the fly.
