I well and truly mangled 2 of the torx head screws while trying to remove my Jeep's spare wheel carrier, so ordered this set to save my bacon. The first screw came out great. The second was more challenging - the drill I was using didn't have enough torque, and the impact driver was just slipping. Eventually I went old-school and used adjustable locking pliers, and slowly and surely I was able to get the screw free (the soft metal of the screw made things quite difficult).The fact the bits and removers are paired together suggests they should be used together, but I found that wasn't the case. After drilling the hole, you'll probably need to use a tool one or two sizes up from the bit in order for it to grip.I didn't rate this 5 as I get the impression the removers will wear down with repeated use, but still recommend it for getting you out of trouble.

Couldn't be happier. set comes with 5 different sizes of both the extractors and high-quality drill bit right next to it, so they're always there when you need them. And an added bonus, my kit included an extra set of bits and extractors for the smallest two sizes (the ones you're going to use most often). Not cheap, but $25 and you're set for life.

Didnât work drill bit in kit wouldnât even make a hole in the broken bolt. Had to use one of my own drill bits after the bolt had a hole in it I inserted the removal tool per instructions and tried to turn it to remove the bolt the removal tool wouldnât move the bolt at all.

I bought this kit in a pinch to remove a broken bolt on my motorcycle. The drill bit I used was not sharp enough to drill into the broken bolt so I had to use my own high quality drill bits but the easy out worked like a champ.

I ordered to get an Allen head screw out. The screw was also near bottom of motorcycle making removal more difficult. First you must provide on left turn drill bit in the proper size to match removal bit. Most people will not have set of these. Then they want you to tap this bit in which was impossible from bottom. After several attempts i gave up ordered a different set with the much better & shorter cone shaped grabbing end with drill bit on opposite end. Since hole already drilled using drill bit, was not necessary but i still did as shaped different to cut with drill in reverse. Then i filled over to aggressive grabbing end and easily removed the bolt. The shape of this remover might work if trying from top and can pound the bit into drilled hole with a hammer. This hole MUST BE drilled with left turn bit. If working from bottom i DO NOT recommend this set. Get old grabber type top. I gave 3 stars because the bit are well made, just not much grip, plus must also provide your on left turn drill bit. The all in one sets work better.

The base of the bit is square, having trouble finding an adapter to make it longer for my need.Should have been hexagonal. Might work for someone else
