While I've just missed the return window, I seem to be stuck with what is essentially a paperweight. I have tried the laminator on various thicknesses of Laminating film, as well as repeated feed through on each. This laminator lacks the heat to effectively seal the laminate and adhere to the item, or the opposing laminate sheet for that matter. It will not seal all the way around at all.I wish I would have had it out to try it once again before the return window closed, because it is definitely a needed return. I would NOT recommend this product at all.*The product is not a 4 star product. I stand behind it being a horrid product; however the seller customer service contact, Hotaru, was great to work withHe/she helped troubleshoot and achieve great resolution of the issue. I would give him/her a 5 star rating for sure.

I've been wanting one for quite a while but wasn't sure which one to pick. This is the one. I was able to laminate several things the first day I got it. I love it can do multiple sizes. Now I can protect some of my children's artwork, and other important things. It heats up fast and processing time is great.

I’m a retired teacher who has used every kind of laminator and let me tell you I am unimpressed by this product. I had to run several pieces through two and three times to get it actually laminated. There were huge bubbles in the laminatation, as well.

This laminator from Raycial is compact and capable. It’s much smaller than the one I use for office work but can accept laminating pouches up to a full 13 inches wide. That means it can easily handle not only letter and A4 sized laminating pouches (“A” sizes are standard European page sizes), but also 11 x 17 inch and A3 (11.69 x 16.54 inch) pouches as well. An impressive assortment of laminating pouches is included with the order, from small to full size.Laminating lets you take any document, drawing, photo, certificate, recipe, menu, postcard – whatever – and sandwich it between two layers of plastic, making it impervious to wrinkling, tearing, and even the rain, which is great for making weather-resistant DIY outdoor signsThis unit can also do both hot and cold lamination. I’ve only ever used hot lamination, which is the most common method. The machine takes a few minutes to heat up. When the light tells you it’s ready, you carefully slip your page between the front and back of a hot lamination pouch (see photo) and gently feed the closed edge into the machine. The pouch slowly passes through the heated rollers and when it comes out the other end, the it’s fused shut, preserving your document. If your page is thick, you might want to run it through a second time. It’s possible that some really thick pages are too big for the space between the rollers, but this is unusual. The machine can also seal pouches designed for cold lamination. I’ve never used them, but the principle is the same except that the rollers don’t need to heat up since the pouches already contain the necessary adhesive. But just for fun, I crumpled up a sheet of scrap paper and ran it through the cold rollers twice – once feeding it from its short edge and again feeding along the longer edge. The wrinkles were still visible (I rumpled it up pretty hard!) but the page became nearly flat and easy to read and handle. There are a couple more great features to note. On top of the laminator is a cutting tool that lets you trim off unwanted parts of your document or your laminated page. Take care to line your page up carefully and note where the trimmer blade is located - otherwise you might accidentally cut through your document. You might want to try a test cut first, but once you have the hang of it the trimmer works really well. I’ve found it cuts better going from right to left, but that may be a quirk of my machine. Test it out before trying to trim something you can’t replace. Also, if you’re trying to trim a document before its laminated, you need to hold the page down really well and make your cut very carefully. If you page is thin – perhaps a clipping from a magazine – it would probably be better to laminate it first to avoid ripping it in the trimmer. Here's another tip. If you trim off very small edges, they tend to get caught under the plastic guide rails. You can gently compress the plastic rails at either end and pop them off the top of the laminator to clear any stubborn trim debris. Then reverse the process, gently snapping the rails back in place. Make sure nothing falls through, down onto the rollers. Also included is a clipper that rounds out the sharp, 90 degree corners and turns them into a gentle radius (see photo). This is great for a number of reasons. First, it makes handling your plastic-sealed documents safer by eliminating the sharp corners. Second, a rounded corner is less likely over time to peel apart since force is distributed over a long, smooth arc instead of being concentrated right at the very tip. Last, and perhaps most important, rounded corners just look cool. A rounded corner looks very professional and if you’re laminating something you want people to pay attention to – like a restaurant menu, an instructional or warning sign, or even a child’s school project – rounded corners score points. All in all, this compact and capable laminator is a really good deal. Even though it’s at least as good as my other laminator, it’s much smaller and takes up less space, which I appreciate. Also, I have a printer that can produce big 13 x 19 prints. Trimmed down just a bit, I can laminate my photos in an A3 pouch. One tip from experience, though. If you’re going to laminate a photo or document you’ve made with an inkjet printer, let the ink dry completely, especially if your paper has a glossy surface. Otherwise, even slightly wet ink can get smeared when passing through the hot rollers. I’ve never had a problem sealing completely dry prints.

The laminator arrived quickly, and was well packaged. It is quite small, just a little wider than A4 and slim, so doesn’t take up unnecessary space, if you wfh. It’s super easy to use, and I was happily laminating within minutes. It came with a few pouches, of various sizes to get me started, as well as a corner snipper, and a built in guillotine. It does a perfect job, and good value for money, quiet to use, but there is a smell, so you might want to crack a window.

The second time from the opposite page side then his original run through.Plus, noted any laminator he tests has a smell for the first so many uses. Even make Christmas ornaments from homemade by children or students for teachers. This product is easy to learn to use. The paper cutter is a happy plus beyond just trimming the laminate pouches. The outcome is perfect especially when doubling the effort by running the project twice as described above.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯Update tips / belowWhat works for me, run the sheet being laminated through each side. Meaning, four sides to a page, let the paper into the laminator from each side. Two works great. When I accidentally precut the 11 x 8 1/2 page a 1/4 inch too short decided rather then waste the paper run it four times. After the third time of consecutive run through the paper was warm enough to finally seal on that edge where I accidentally cut too close for comfort my first cutting atm per.If you’re having a difficult time with a page, allow it to run through on each side. For the end curve, make certain the paper edge is dipped into the corner between the steel. I made the mistake of slipping the corner in straight. Nothing happened.Noticing the little slit between the steel, boom, curved edge. For the paper cutter, make certain to push down on the blade button. My paper didn’t cut at the end because I wasn’t being firm. I also allowed the plastic to move 1/4 toward the end thus my mistake. If you hold the plastic firm so it doesn’t move and the knife button firm shouldn’t have an issue that was totally my learning experience to save you the trouble 😁I really like this laminator
