Checked output, clean 5v. Within two years, output jumped to 6.3v. this obviously fries things. Do not use for anything important!!!

Used this to power a hotspot off grid with a 12V battery, using this product reduced the voltage to 5V to power the hotspot directly instead of having the inverter turned on to power the wall plug. Simple, works as advertised and reasonable price.

5.1v output constant, even when engine is revving up high.have installed for about a month now to power 2 arduinos 2 relay boards and an LTE modem, no issues.

I used this step-down converter to power a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W via one of the +5V pins from the LOAD pin on a solar charge controller connected to a ~14.4V panel and 12V LiFePO4 battery. The system integrated perfectly and the converter has held up since. I’ve noticed that it’s very power efficient but also durable and installs easily.

Update: it turns out my multimeter was off. I used another one that was a little more sensitive and found the output voltage to be correct on both units. I will be keeping these for future projects. Their small size is perfect for fitting in a junction box.Original: I bought 2 of these. One for 6v and one for 5v. Both of them output 1v below the rated voltage. At such low voltages, 1v is the difference between work and no work. I verified input voltage at 12v. Perhaps if I used a charging voltage of 14v, it may output the proper volts BUT my application relies on 12v input only because it is a small solar setup intended to power my chicken coop overnight (when charging voltage is unavailable).

I used this to install remote start on my car. My car has a 5 v passlock system and the standard 12 v was not allowing it to bypass. I bought this a pack or resistors a pack of diodes and a pack of relays to build my own ignition switch to add inline to the remote brain. And I have successfully bypassed a vehicle that supposedly need a computer bypass. I only did this because I tried the computer bypass, paid 160$ usdt for a bypass unit, it would only work for 2 days, every 3rd day my car wouldn't start and I had to unhook it. So I built my own and have not had to touch it since. Cheapest option I could have found.

This works as advertised. So far no issues and it’s held up over several months. I used it to modify voltage from 12vdc to power a GPS module for a VHF radio.
