Used to create a wooden swing for my brothers wife and with these I was able to create a stunning swing for her. I’m very satisfied and doubt I will need to, but would buy again.

I bought these for my 12 year old son, in addition to the wood turning lathe his grandparents got him for Christmas. He has been able to use them well, and is very happy with what he can create using them. They are in a nice case and look nice. But, more importantly, they work very well! My son has been exploring with the different options and designs he can make in the wood. I am excited to see what he will create!

My fiancé had me order these for him and he was wildly excited when he first opened the box, he has a lot of chisels! But these were probably the worst he ever had. He picked them up and was disappointed by how many chips, deformities, and broken edges they had. Some of which look jagged and melted on the ends almost with how poorly the edge was formed. I'm sure some people got what they paid for- but for 100 dollars..? They are basically useless for him in the condition ours came in. Most of the chisels he owns are around ten to twenty dollars and have lasted him years without a single issue, these he can't even use right out of the box.. Really upsetting. The only highlight I guess is that it came quickly, but other then that, there isn't anything positive to say about the chisels themselves.

Package was damaged but contents appear ok.Factory sharpened was obvious but adequate for initial use on all but one gouge that had a very rough edge that looked like it had been dropped point-first on a hard surface. Also poor sharpening on this same tool may be responsible for bad condition. Question now is quality of steel—will it dull quickly? Not much if a bargain if true

Las herramientas están muy bien construidas, son resistentes, solo hay que afilarlas un poco antes de trabajar con ellas. El estuche o caja de madera para guardarlas es de muy baja calidad y se daña con facilidad.

UPDATE: I did not contact the company but they contacted me after this review. Customer service was outstanding and they completely took care of any issue I had with the chisels. I won't say how because of some people trying to take advantage but it was fair for me and I will order from them again. I changed from an ok 3 star to a strong 4.First post:I would give the chisels higher stars but when I received them they were not very sharp at all. I do understand having to sharpen my tools on a very regular bases but I would say only two of the 12 were ready to go out of the box. One of them had gouges and chips out of the blade. Like I said though they are a good set and nice and sturdy. After reworking the blades out of the box they have held up pretty well. Its hard to say if they are good for beginners, yes the price point and quality is good to start on but might not be worth it, unless you are experienced at sculpting a new edge on a chisel.

I am a novice wood carver, exclusively small sculptures. I don't use this for traditional "wood working" like making decorations for cabinets or furniture or anything like that, so I can't say if this set is good for those purposes or not. But for sculpting, these are my impressions: This set is good! Each chisel is comfortable to hold, the variety of sizes and shapes is great for any kind of cut I'm looking to make. One thing: they do not come sharpened. I wasn't anticipating this, but it kind of makes sense to me now. If you're looking to use these, then sharpening is a regular part of the routine, and you should be sharpening then when you get them anyways. I use a very simple whetstone (Coleman - for sharpening pocket knives) and it works just fine for all the chisels, although I'm sure there are much better options out there. I don't have any experience with any other chisels to compare this to, but I have no complaints!

I've been power carving for a few years and thought I'd give the traditional method a shot. I definitely like this set a lot, they look very nice and feel good in my hand when using a mallet. They are sharp enough to get started but do feel like there are some very small burs on a few out of the box.Easily corrected though. I like the quality of the steel and do believe they'll hold up nice.The the box is nice too plus I really like the walnut handles. I'm going to use them on this maple sculpture I roughed out with the carving saw. I'll try to remember to update when finished.
