Objects are much sharper to view w/o the glare.

Like most color filters it unfortunately tints the image but it does help to improve details that where missing before so I will give a thumbs up is well made and threads are smooth fits perfectly easily easily installed and removed

I own an , which is really good, so I had high hopes for this Jupiter filter. I just used it for the first time this morning, and sadly, I didn't notice much of a difference. The telescope is a Meade Polaris 127... 1000 mm focal length, and I was using an (62.5x magnification). I also tried the filter with a (80x magnification). The only positive thing I can really say is that the filter cut down the glare somewhat; but as for increasing contrast or bringing out any surface details, I was left feeling disappointed.

Spectacular rendering of details big and small are coming through this little blue tinted wonder of everyone's favorite mystery gas giant, and failed star Jupiter. My Mak telescope makes an excellent pairing. To think this planet was once hundreds of times brighter. I know my view of filters has become hundreds of times better.Addition: Planets require long focal length. Most telescopes are not. To add a focal length effect add a binoviewer with the ICE filter on the barrel. The binoviewer will add needed definition using both eyes, will dim the view by splitting the light to both eyes adding even more detail, and will add comfort going after good seeing moments with no eye strain.Update: I ordered a second filter for binoviewing that came dark blue or a regular blue filter. This 80A filter is a light blue with a slight tint. It comes in a sealed box so it was a mistake.

great value for the price, I just dont know if I need a lighter one or another filter to stack with this as I'm pretty new to it all yet I cant complain as I got some great views of the moon with it

Seems like a good quality of glass tinting is just right threads were perfect. A little pricey in my opinion but I guess it's worth it
