This is an ACTUAL sharp paper slicer. I've tried the cheap ones and they either don't work at all, or dull after a few minutes. This one kept sharp through a large project and still looks sharp and usable.

Purchased to cut card stock. It can't handle more then 4 sheets of cardstock before the paper starts sliding and it is not cutting the card stock straight. My little cricut paper slicer can cut 3 pieces of card stock better then this cutter does 4 and it was half the cost. Will be returning for refund.

Maybe it was due to weather but the delivery took two days longer than was originally scheduled. Once it arrived, I unboxed it and removed it from its plastic bag. The cutting arm immediately went up. Fortunately, only my thumb got nicked, it could have been worse. I have had many cutting boards over the years. Once the blade goes dull, I get a new one. This one is the most complex one I have ever had. Only one in which I had to assemble any part of it -- the handle requires attachment! The surface has a slider for paper sizes. It was very, very difficult to slide at all and the little finger button on it kept falling off. Once I got it moving, I totally removed it and threw that slider in the trash. The surface has sufficient markings to tell paper sizes. The unit is sturdy wooden, the heaviest cutting board I have ever had. It does cut smoothly, but that is expected from a brand new one.

This one operates like the old models did. It cuts clean and does multiple pages with accuracy.

I recently ordered this paper cutter, and I must say it is a nice-looking one. The use of wood in its construction not only adds to its aesthetic appeal but also makes it sturdy and durable. The dual scale markings are beneficial for making precise cuts at desired measurements. For safety reasons, there is a cover over the lower blade, which is a great feature. The rotation lock is another thoughtful addition, ensuring the paper stays straight while cutting. However, while it claims to cut up to 32 sheets at a time, I found it struggled when I tried to cut 32 sheets of printer paper. It worked much better with 24 sheets, handling them with no issues. As a bonus, it comes with paper clips and a corner rounder, which are handy extras.Overall, this is a handy tool for anyone involved in projects that require paper cutting.

This paper cutter with a wood base is a must-have for any workspace! The sharp blade is incredibly effective, easily slicing through up to 32 sheets of paper with precision. The guillotine action is smooth and reliable, making large projects a breeze. The included corner rounder and paper clips are fantastic bonuses that add even more versatility to this tool. I also appreciate the adjustable guide, which ensures consistent cuts every time. The built-in safety latch is a thoughtful feature, providing peace of mind when not in use. Overall, this paper cutter is a perfect blend of durability, safety, and performance—highly recommended

The heavy-duty wood guillotine paper cutter is very solid, even though many of the parts are plastic. The wood-grain look is just a print. The wood used in the base is actually particle board. The only assembly needed is to attach the handle by pushing it on and fastening it with a screw and nut. The handle is held very firmly by an I-beam design in the slot. Once attached, it does not wiggle. The overall build is solid. The blade is held to the lever with four screws, and the metal base plate is held to the wooden base with four screws. The whole unit sits on four grippy rubber feet. The only instructions are printed on the back of box and half of it was explaining how to assemble the handle using the included Allen wrench. They include a cute little clear plastic box with an assortment of light blue paper clips. There is also a little gadget for trimming corners on paper. It makes a nice little rounded edge out of your sharp corners. The board has a 28x30 grid pattern in centimeters. There are additional markings for European paper sizes. Inches are only on the top ruler and it only goes to 11 inches. There is a paper guide that slides in a slot on the board. There is a knob you turn to loosen it for sliding and tighten to fix it in place. There is a plastic shield on the board next to the blade that serves a dual purpose. First, it forms a fence that helps you keep what remaining fingers you may have. Second, you press down on it to pinch the paper to the board so it does not slip during the cut. The first thing I did was fold up a sheet of 20-pound paper into 32 layers to test the claim that it could cut that many sheets at once. It went right through it like butter. I had a combination of fright, respect, and awe wash over me. The blade is very sharp. This is going to make cutting scrap paper a breeze. I also trim greeting cards, origami paper, and sundry other papers. I have a rotary trimmer for many of those tasks, but it cannot whip through that many sheets at once. This is going to be very handy.

This 12-inch wood guillotine paper cutter has become an essential tool in my office. Its heavy-duty wood base provides stability during use, ensuring clean and accurate cuts. The sharp blade effortlessly slices through multiple sheets, making it ideal for preparing documents and crafting materials. The built-in alignment grid and ruler guides assist in achieving precise measurements. However, the blade lacks a safety latch, so extra caution is necessary to prevent accidental cuts. Additionally, the wooden base, while sturdy, adds considerable weight, making the cutter less portable.

Update#2: The seller reached out to me to make things right. They sent me a replacement trimmer. They did not request that I remove or update my review. Excellent customer service! The replacement trimmer is excellent. It appears I got a trimmer with a flawed blade, the first time. Kudo’s to this company for going above and beyond for customer satisfaction.I am enjoying this trimmer. The blade has a lock for safety. The handle has a slight spring to it which gives it a great feel. No struggling to cut. I cut tissue paper and cardboard with the same results. I am loving this trimmer. The corner punch and accessories pack are nice extras.UPDATE: I sent this back. I tried it on one laminated sheet, and it frayed the edges and didn't cut toward the bottom. I tightened the screws on the blade, which were already pretty tight, and the blade continued to bend the paper in one section. It doesn't matter if it is one piece of paper or 10. Not impressed. This went back.I was so excited to receive this paper trimmer. Unfortunately, when I tested it, I put a single piece of paper in, and there was one section of the blade where it didn't cut through. It just folded the paper. Pretty disappointed. I may try tightening the screws on the blade casing to see if that helps. This may be going back.

We ordered this for our office. It cuts beautifully and is very well made. My only complaint is that we did not receive the nut and screw assembly for the handle. The only option Amazon is giving me is to return the whole thing for another. Is there any way the seller can send me the nut and screw for the handle? If this can be resolved I'll be happy to change my rating. I could find no way to contact seller directly.**I changed my star rating from a 3 to a 4- seller contacted us and gave us a credit for the missing parts. Apparently they do not have those screws for the handle anymore.
