First off, it is pretty good and has a good price. (probably for new construction) Especially if you want a door panel to access what's behind it. BUT, mounting it securely should not be taken for granted. There are holes on all sides, and if you are close to wood, you could put a couple of screws through. But if you are not, it doesn't feel like it will be secure. To start, you are probably cutting an opening to match the panel size. If you are precise it could pop right in. BUT there are no clips or wire springs to hold it in place. It has a hinged door feature. That is tight, so you are only going to open it with a slotted screwdriver. No problem with that. The problem is when you pull it open if it's loose even just a small amount you don't need the door, it will pull right out.Common sense will tell you it needs to be mounted. It's 8 x 8 and the studs are 16 apart. What's up with all these panel manufacturers? This is not a time saver. It will cost you time to mount it properly. There are access panels that let you close a hole with almost no additional drywall work. They have mounting brackets. My recommendation to the manufacturer, put clips or wings on it. Also, you can forget about ceiling access. The edges are very smooth and it's likely to fall out. If not when you are trying to install it, it will pull out of the ceiling when you are trying to open its door. Again if it is so easy to pull out, there is no need for a door.

These were quick to install. 1 for a water valve and another for the end of a cat6 conduit drop behind drywall that I'll need access to someday. They are easily opened with a fingernail or tool, and will snap back shit with no problem. If you don't need a huge panel such as for access to plumbing behind a shower surround, these are perfectly sized.I haven't painted them but from the textured surface I think they will hold latex based paint just fine.I will pick up a few extra sizes from the same company just to have for future projects.

I ordered these as I plan to add a few extra water lines in my house and I wanted to have access to the valves in the future. I already have several of these throughout my house, none quite this small. The access panels are white and have a smooth finish. They are easy to open and stay shut when they are closed. They will need to be mounted with an adhesive in order to keep them in place so that they can be opened. Currently priced at $9.99 for a 4 pack = good deal!

These panels were just what we were looking for. The price is reasonable, seems like a good deal for two. They are sturdy enough, and seem like they will hold up just fine. No complaints so far.

Poor quality materials, 1 tab broken, the other tabs do not secure the panel in place. As a contractor, I did not even attempt to install this item. I immediately put it back in the package and will be sending it back.
