Installed in closet to access water valve, only issue was with shipping as corners got bent a bit but were easily straightened.

I actually used this access door for a client that wanted a door to drop food in to their chicken coop. So I cut the chicken wire, ran a couple of 2x4 across, and screwed the access door to them, overlapping the chicken wire. I attached a different opening latch to the door, so that you don't have to use a screw driver to lock and unlock the door, and it is now easy to use.Perfect for what we needed it for!

I used this to access electrical wiring that I eventually want to replace. I opened up the drywall to check in on the wiring and used this access door for permanent access. It fits perfectly between my ceiling joists and I like how much more sturdy this is than the butterfly clip style that only use tension to mount.

Supposed to be 14 x 14” which is the hole I was supposed to put it in for a replacement. The frame is actually 14 & 3/16” x 14 & 3/16” so it is too large and I was 3 days past the return window.

We had this shower that leaked but the pipes are on the wall. This panel allows us to have access from my daughter’s bedroom. It isn’t the prettiest, so likely we will cover it with a picture. I am thinking of painting it to match the wall. Has anyone tried it? But this is sturdy. We had to provide our own screws to screw it into the wood on either side of the opening. We had to carefully cut the opening to make sure it would fit properly. It too my son less than 10 minutes to complete the process with about 20 minutes of careful marking and measuring. Remember, measure twice.. it went in beautifully.

These are by far the best access doors I have run across. They fit perfectly (well, almost perfectly) between two 16"-on-center studs and provide the perfect size access door for electrical work. I am putting one of these above and below the main panel so I can easily run new wire when a new circuit is needed.What I really like about these doors is the high quality. I have seen a number of access doors made of plastic and they tend to look like crap. This is a very high quality metal/steal door and the movement on it is perfect if mounted correctly. Plastic doors look like crap -this one looks awesome.I also have to commend the very fast shipping on this item - it was not available Amazon Prime so I was skeptical it would arrive before the drywall work started and figured I would just have to go back and cut the whole later. but to my surprise the shipping was as fast as Prime and i was able to get these marked so the drywall could be cut at install time for easy mounting.Really love these - I will post some pics after the walls are painted and the access doors go back in for final mounting.
