This product was awful, it seems to have hardened in the tube. I possibly think that it possibly had gotten frozen at some point. I have seen this happen before with paint. I have used this same product, purchased from Lowe's in the past with good results. Maybe older stock or bad batch?

This caulking is great for sealing around the exterior of our windows and doors. Yes the caulk comes out white when you apply it which I feel helps you make sure you are not leaving gaps as it’s much more visible. As it dries it becomes clear and within 24 hours it was cured. I’m sure if you’re putting it on extra thick it will probably take some extra time to cure completely but I had no issues with it. Flows out of the tube smoothly, and so far several months later seems to be quite durable.

The caulk works well, but the first shipment had congealed in the tube. The replacement box was better.

Dynaflex 230 is becoming an industry standard for outdoor caulk. It's a silicone/acrylic blend so it combines the best qualities of both. It's reasonably priced if you buy it by the case. And you can get it in a lot of colors.Because it's part silicone, it will stay flexible for many years and it's great for gaps that expand and contract with the weather. But because it's part acrylic, it is paintable which silicone is not. If you can't match a color, just buy the clear and paint it what you want. (The clear is also nice because it goes on white and turns clear as it dries, so it gives you an indication of when you can paint it)It's much easier to work with and less messy than silicone caulk. You should cut the smallest hole you can because it comes out very soft, softer than painter's caulk. The one downside -- and why I wouldn't use it indoors -- drying time is LONG -- I don't know what the guideline is, but I wouldn't paint it without giving it a full day in dry weather to set.

Takes a while to dry especially if it’s cool and damp. Goes on white but dries clear in a few days. Easy to use.
