Have tried several types of caulk savers and these are the best. I like the probe that goes down in the tube to help keep the nozzle open.

These are the best solution to preserving caulk I have found. Have tried the nail, the plastic wrap, the nail with plastic wrap... but this works

I bought a similar version of this product from another vendor a year ago, but it’s no longer available. Since this one looked similar in the pictures, I decided to try it. The rubber boots on this product are slightly but noticeably shorter than the ones I had before, but this doesn’t seem to affect usability.

For about a million years, I've stuck a long nail inside the head of an open caulk tube. It works pretty well. Not great, but good enough. Then I discovered these caulk savers, and what a huge difference they make! I've bought other much more expensive ones, but these work just as well. And considering how ridiculously expensive caulk has gotten, these are worth picking up.

While they are acceptable in quality, they are not as good as the original Caulk Cap which is made in the USA. Sadly, Amazon no longer sell the original Caulk Cap as an 2-pack (now only in bulk quantities of 35) which had excellent reviews.
