I’m glad to have this set as I expand my abilities with the router. It’s very reasonably priced, $26.09 USD (at time of review) for a brass set. I like the little plastic case it comes in for organization and to protect the screw threads from damage. The one thing that was unanswered for me when ordering is if the set would fit my router. The product description says “Bosch type,” which left me wondering. It does not ready fit my Makita trim router but I was able to easily make a plexi base to use with my plunge router base. As pictured, they will easily fit a base opening of 18/16” or 30 mm.

I'm not the best woodworker, but I am learning. These happen to fit on my Makita palm router and I did give them a try using a template to cut out a couple recesses. Definitely a cleaner result than my previous attempts to free hand "close" to the line and then finish with a chisel.

BEST THING ABOUT IT: fits my Makita XTR01Z palm routerADDITIONAL LIKES: comes with 3 collars, multiple diameters of same depth, comes with common size bit, brassWORST THING ABOUT IT: all bushings are same depth (not really a contradiction to above as both statements are true)ADDITIONAL DISLIKES/CONCERNS: case latches are very flimsyWARRANTY: none statedCOMMENTS (Function, Appearance, Quality): This is a good quality set of 8 diameters of bushing for 1/4” shank bits. It comes with 3 lock collars as well as a 1/4” shank bit in a small plastic storage box with suspect hinges (appear fragile). Though the bushings vary in diameter, they are all 9/32” deep. This thing I liked most about them is that they fit my Makita palm router. Most (but not all) of the templates I have are 1/4 inch deep. This sometimes presents a problem in that the bit leaves a slight rim if you cannot keep the bit slightly elevated in the first pass.MOST SUITABLE FOR: routers with Porter-Cable style router bushing openingsIS IT WORTH IT?: At the current price of ~$31, I’d say so. These Router Template Guides are made to fit Porter Cable routers. I got them to use with a Porter Cable 6902 router I purchased in the 90s. Due to its age, I wasn’t sure about these guides fitting despite the router’s branding. Fortunately, they fit its base plate perfectly. Being made of brass, these template guides won't rust and their gold color dresses up the look of my old dependable router. The 11-piece set has every template guide I can see me ever using and more. Unlike other sets, this one also includes a 1/4 shank double-edge mill cutter with spiral-down cut groves for removing sawdust during a plunge routing operation. Most of the template guide sets I’ve looked at don’t come with this bit, so Its inclusion makes BOZXYE’s kit a bargain.I tried these template guides with an old craftsman router I have as well. Regrettably, the fit was sloppy in its base plate hole. A sloppy fit risks the guide displacing within the base plate hole and not consistently following the template. I principally got these guides to go with my Porter Cable plunge router, so they’re not fitting the Craftsman router isn’t an issue. For those who don’t have a Porter Cable router, Amazon sells universal base plates with predrilled mounting holes in various spacings that fit most routers.After my last woodworking project, I was at a loss as to what to make next. These brass router template guides have expanded my woodworking possibilities.
