Very sturdy. You’d have to work at it to break these. I love that I have two so I can have one in my sewing room and one in me “go” bag.

These definitely will not break. You will be using these for a good long while.

REVIEW FOR: Hearts Template, pack of two.- 11/01/24 PAID: $9.02 (usually $9.69), after seeking a multi-item-purchase discount. ORDERED three 2-packs.- 11/28/24 PAID $7.56 (Cyber Monday Deal). ORDERED five more 2-packs, given the low price and the large number of suitable gift recipients.MY INTENDED USE: Gifts for nieces and neighbor children, accompanying an A5-size sketchpad and colored pencils. I'll keep one with my own art supplies that I bring out for company. These are thick and sturdy enough for both inlay work and toddlers.SUMMARY: PandaHall's heart templates are:- HALF THE PRICE of two seemingly near-identical inlay template offerings on Amazon.- ONLY TEMPLATE WITH CUTOUTS LABELED BY WIDTH (inches).- RESPONSIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE w/HUSTLE (Abby responds overnight with the utmost professionalism!).- SOMEWHAT INCONSISTENT PRODUCTION VALUES were handled appropriately to my satisfaction. It becomes clear where you should make your purchase. My first impressions reflect the pristine nature of the first three templates I unpacked. They were clear and essentially flawless, individually wrapped in clear cellophane envelopes (see photo with pink/lavendar sketchbooks). The remaining 12 templates had protective films on both sides, instead of a cellophane envelope to prevent scratches. Each pair had some sort of minor manufacturing flaws which were not present or noticable in the first three templates. See photos. Happily, PandaHall attended to my issues without hesitation.FIVE STARS: These are still the best value out there for a quality item, esp for multi-item purchases. Any Maker with a file could "touch up" minor blips like I saw. Despite my unexpected hassles, I like this company even more for their follow-up. It's nice that my observations have been passed along to the relevant departments.DETAILED REVIEW:- RESPONSIVE VENDOR and EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE: They replied to my initial inquiry, via Amazon support bot messaging, within a few hours. They graciously offered me a discount for my multiple-item purchase. They responded equally quickly to a few follow-ups queries.- PROFESSIONAL DETAILS: I love that the incremental heart sizes (widths, it seems) are printed on the template, and the ruler is a bonus.- DIMENSIONS SUIT A5 PAPER/PADS: Children will be using this template with A5 Sketchbooks that are roughly 5.5" x 8.3". I think it would be hard to use a stencil/template that's bigger than the sketch pad pages. This 4.7" x 7" template is ideal.- THICK AND STURDY ~ HEIRLOOM QUALITY (haha): Unbreakable and unbendable is desirable, especially with 3-year-olds in the mix who like to bend everything. The 6mm (0.24") thickness may be somewhat excessive for *my* purposes, but they're perfectly suited for their intended inlay work. Older girls, who are perfectly capable of drawing hearts, will still be enchanted, and even the youngest grasper of a crayon could have fun and develop skills with this sturdy template. If I had such a thing, as a 5-year old, the nostalgia would place it in my collection of beloved things I couldn't get rid of.- AFFORDABLE, esp. compared to the competition. There's not a lot to choose from, for my purposes, at this price point. The near identical templates are twice the price. There are a couple lovely thin stainless steel stencils with hearts, also at about twice the PandaHall unit price. Other heart stencils, made for other purposes, were incompatible with my needs: too large for A5 notebook use, and/or too thin for children to trace effectively. There is, however, a set of lapidary templates with hearts, not nearly as nice, large or thick as PandaHall's, but suitable enough, and much less expensive.- WELL PACKAGED FOR TRANSiT: My items were shipped in a paper or bubble envelope. Two of my items arrived in a tightly fitting bubble wrap envelope. One set arrived in a Ziploc without bubble wrap. Three individual templates were ready-to-use and protected in a clear cellophane envelope. The rest had no cellophane envelope, but were left with the plastic protective film on both sides, from the original sheet acrylic before the hearts were cut out. That film protects the templates from scratching during shippinng, but it requires the consumer to remove it. It can be a bit of a trick to get the film up at the corners (see photos), but just keep gentrly "scratching" at the corner with a fingernail and you'll get it going.- PRODUCTION INCONSISTENCIES: it seemed as if an expert had produced the first three templates, and apprentices had produced the rest, because essentially ALL of the templates that arrived with the platic protective films in place, had some level of production flaws, by comparison to the "pristine three" I first opened.I must emphasize that these mostly minor flaws may not bother you at all. They weren't ideal for my needs, but PandaHall has invested a great deal of goodwill in ensuring my ultimate customer satisfaction, with new replacement sets on the way, and my observations shared with the relevant departments.MINOR PRODUCTION INCONSISTENCIES - to be fair, remember my close-ups exaggerate tiny details that may have no impact on your project.- Two templates had tiny cracks on the surface. (They struck me as stress fractures. See photo with four red dots marking the cracks. See close up of two cracks.) Still, the inside edges of the cutouts weren't adversely affected, so this would be a cosmetic problem for most people. Nonetheless, it wasn't what I expected when purchasing more for gifts.- Four templates had cuts that started/ended at the bottom point (good), but not particularly cleanly. These will probably be okay to gift and serve intended purpose, but one or two should have a sharpish blip filed before giving to kids.- The rest of the templates, that arrived with protective films, had cuts that started/ended not perfectly aligned, but on the *sides* of the hearts. These blips/bumps were more obvious, you could feel them, it's possible they could interfere with a smooth line in certain exacting applications.MISC AMAZON FULFILLMENT CURIOSITIES:- As it happens, one of the bubble wrapped items contained just a single template, and was marked 1 PC (one piece), but Amazon support, who fulfilled my order, reimbursed me for the missing template.- My second order of 5 items seems to have come from three separate warehouses, arriving in three different shipping envelopes. I wonder if I cleaned out the eastern seaboard with my order?
