These are PERFECT for my patio. The light is just right. Not too much and not too little. The covers are plastic, so no glass to break. I am very happy with this purchase!

In my opinion one of the best string lights for the price. Don't bother looking for something better. They are as advertised.

2 fuses on the plug end of each string. One is a spare, one is being used. If one burns out that string and every string after it will go out. The bulbs will accumulate condensation inside the bulb when it is cold outside (my guess) so had to replace a few bulbs from one string eventually. I cant think of any way a bulb isn't waterproof, other than the condensation thing. I've had these for a few years in Massachusetts so we get wind and rain and cold/snow. Good to have a spare string for bulbs and I now think not good to keep on overnight or when its very cold. If its raining bad I have them off. Also note tighten each bulb before you have them. Some are going to be rather loose. All told they look nice, give a lot of light and are dimmable.

These are perfect patio lights. The housing is not glass and makes them quite durable. I just purchased the dimmer adapter so I can change it up.

Do not underestimate these little lights, unless you shred them to pieces, they will outlive you! I bought 2 sets of these 3 years ago along with a more expensive set I purchased for a separate project. Forgot about them because I ran out of energy while renovating my back yard. They sat in the box in the Texas heat and through rain 2022 and snow storms of 2023. They worked right out of the box after their less than appropriate storage mayhem and I was immediately impressed by their hardiness. The more expensive set did not survive the storage nightmare even though they were in a sealed bag. Summer of 2023 i finally set them up and they worked great all summer and fall. Late Fall of 2023 my neighbors replaced their fence and cut one of the sets of lights into 3 strands. I left the mangled pieces were they laid and left them to be next summers problem. I was devastated. Spring of 2024 I returned to my yard to find pure chaos after light snowfall and our torrential thunderstorms and tornado season. Most of the light bulbs from the intact strand had water in them and I was certain they would need to be trashed but I was immediately proved incorrect. To my surprise they worked! Even bulbs that were partially filled with water worked! There were of course a few casualties but nothing that couldn't be replaced. I was again pleasantly surprised to find I could replace the burned out bulbs with the bulbs from the pieces the neighborhoods chopped. Now for my biggest surprise, when I hooked up the cut up piece that had the plug end, it also still worked. Even missing 1/3 if itself it still worked! Now for safety reasons I'm not using this piece but I'm sure if i slapped some waterproof gorilla tape on the cut end it would last a few more seasons but i don't have renters insurance. Definitely get these over the other brands. The price cant be beat for the quality of this product. If this product can survive me 3 seasons I'm sure they'll last a lifetime for a responsible owner. Did i mention they're dimmable...

Avoid these at all costs. Very cheap quality and most of the bulbs stopped working within 30 mins. Also very poor return process. Been waiting for them to collect and refund for over a week now.

I hung about 225' worth of these lights using some stainless steel wire rope strung between my house and a large tree. There were four runs, none of which were cleanly divisible by 50', so I had to cut some of the strands short and wrap electrical tape around the cut ends (I bought three of these, i.e. 6 x 50' strands to make this work). I don't think these strands are intended to be cut like that, but I didn't really have any other option if I wanted it to look good. What I like about these:- Color temperature of these LED bulbs is nice. It's a warm white and not at all harsh which creates a nice relaxing ambiance.- 2' spacing between each bulb looks better than the 3' spacing that I've seen on those larger commercial style strands.- The weight of this style of lights is also much lighter than the commercial style strands, so it was pretty easy to hang up and doesn't sag much.- The brightness of the bulbs is perfect for me. I've got a lot of these lights hung to cover a large space, and I was worried that they would be too bright in aggregate, but they are good. I have the option to use a dimmer I guess, but it's not needed.- The clip built into each bulb socket was perfect for hanging onto the wire rope, no zip ties needed. What I don't like:- A tag on the strands says these are intended for 90 day temporary use. I didn't know that when I purchased these. The title uses lots of words like "outdoor" and "waterproof" so I had the impression that they were permanent. Had I known, I may have opted to buy some more expensive lights that are intended for permanent use. I don't intend to take these down after all that work putting them up, so I hope they survive the elements.Neutral:- Other reviewers said they were frustrated by having to screw in all of the bulbs. Yeah, it's a lot of bulbs to screw in, but I did it while the strand was still wound up from the box so the sockets were very close together and it wasn't really a big deal.- Many of the bulbs seem to have slight variations in color temperature, i.e. some are a slightly warmer or cooler color than the others. It's barely noticeable, but I kind of think it looks all right and adds some character.- One of the bulbs was not lighting up completely, but I used one of the spares that came in the box. One faulty bulb out of 150 bulbs isn't bad. Will I buy these again? I definitely like them a lot right now and have them on almost every night, but I will have to wait and see if they last. Maybe I'll come back and update my review in a year or two -- or maybe I won't.MARCH 2023 UPDATE: Still holding up strong! In the 2021/2022 winter, some squirrels chewed right through the wires in a few places that run near a tree branch, but I just spliced them back together again and sealed it with some electrical tape. I then wrapped that with some black mesh that's supposed to stop cats from chewing through wires, and no issues since. About five bulbs have burned out since I purchased them, but I've still got about 25 extras since I didn't use all of the string lights when I originally hung these up, so replacing them hasn't been a problem for me.
