I received the lights and we hung them up on our outside arbor. About two weeks into it, the first solar panel went out. We hooked up the 2nd one and about a week later, that too went dead. We tried to plug in via USB, but only one panel charged and you have to charge it every so often. The solar panel gets direct sunlight ALL day. I didn’t want to send it back because it would be a hassle to remove all the lights that retinal hung. . So after all this troubleshooting, I decided to write the the seller, to no avail..

I originally bought a much more expensive brand with a larger bulb. Those were hideous and did not come with usb charging capability. I returned them and ordered these. I have 2 sets and they are fantastic! I attached them using black zip ties . They are very sturdy and have withstood 100 mph winds. Mine aren’t the ones with the remote control , I have no need for that! Sometimes I don’t get any sun to charge the solar panel which is when the usb port comes in handy. They charge quickly and hold a charge all night. They turn on automatically and lend a nice romantic light to my outdoor area. There’s also a timer that turns them off after 6 hours or you can leave them on all night. They light the stairwell enough to see where you’re going. They’re bright enough to see from the street as well. Easy to install. I receive many compliments from my neighbors.

This string of lights are mounted above my patio and are so cool, they charge during the day and stay on almost all night. They we easy to hang and the solar charger is mounted to my deck and charge well, the more sun it gets, the longer the lights Stay on. I'm super pleased with this set and the price was great.

Love solar lights. Put these on my back porch for safety at night. Just bright enough to see without being too bright. Definitely not for reading.. They last from sun down to sun up, which is as advertised. I am planning on putting another set on my front porch as well. It is good to know if the electricity goes out, there are lights I can see outside . I recommend..

These lights are awesome! We will likely buy more as the funds are available. We keep them in our popup camper so we can have solar lights when we are off grid. They are incredible. Battery lasts a long time. I’m also impressed with how quickly they charge! Quality is amazing. Super easy to use/set up/charge. I love that the charging panel is detachable. We usually set up the lights and then move the panel around to stay in the sun throughout the day. In the evening we hook the panel back in and are good to go! We have used these over several occasions. They have been stored all summer in a hot trailer. Absolutely no problems or complaints. Great value for the money. The lights automatically turn on when it gets dark, and it needs to be darker than you might think. Basically once the sun is actually officially set, the lights will come on.

I bought the lights to put in my outdoor lanterns. By the time I set everything up, I was only able to charge them for a few hours before nightfall. The lights were beautiful and bright all night until the sun came up. I love that they will light on their own each night and turn off in the morning. I think it looks beautiful! Perfect product for the idea I had!

I ordered expecting bigger bulb size and long adjustable wires so can cover long area. Very disappointed in that way :(. Similar small bulbs and smaller length wired lights are available with much lesser prices. Ordered a wrong one :( :(. Waste of money. 3 lights didn't work. very disappointed :'(.

Update 23/09/23After almost exactly 2 years (odd coincidence) these are still going, they stay bright for a decent amount of time but I'm sure the old batteries and cloudy solar panel are reducing performance so before another summer I decided to do some some maintaince and cracked the panel open (this is fairly easy with several plectrums and a bit of patience) inside are 2x 18640 3.7v 2200mAh batteries.I also sanded down the panel (400 grit followed by 1200 grit) and finally clear coated the panel. Looks good as new again. Expect it will carry on for another couple of years. Good stuff.Bought these in February to go under a 3.5x3.5m butterfly gazebo, bought the set with the solar panel and added an extra set of lights which was more than enough to do one big cross under the gazebo canopy plus two sides. After surviving an Australian (Sydney) summer and winter and I'll say so far so good, our solar panel is exposed to sun from sunrise to sunset and after a clear day will go for a good 4-5 hours, an overcast, rainy day and you'll be lucky to get an hour out of them, fine for Australia, they might be a bit disappointing in northern Europe. The bulbs are extremely delicate so these lights have to be free hanging, they can't be resting against a fence etc, I doubt they'd last long with a bit of wind blowing them against something. Also the cord is very short from the panel to the lights, definitely under a metre which could be a problem for anyone else, not the end of the world with some suitably rated (outdoor) electrical cable, some crimp terminals/splice connectors, heat shrink tubing and a little common sense.Couple of suggestions when installing these, take all the bulbs off before you set them up, put them on a blanket or something. I smashed two of the bulbs trying to rig up the first set (they come with 3 spares) but didn't make the same mistake twice. They are extremely delicate and are just waiting for an excuse to break, set the string up, then carefully put the bulbs in.Also, make sure they're nicely screwed in (a good indicator is if you're using more than thumb and forefinger and they shatter in your hand, that's too hard). I noticed over winter two bulbs from the first set I strung up had water in them, and they were only very, very lightly screwed in. After leaving them to dry and putting them back in properly they've been fine since. So far we're happy with them, not sure how long the battery in the panel will last, that will likely be what causes this to die after x number of charge and discharge cycles. So far they're consistently bright (weather dependant) with no sign of slowly dying yet.

After looking at 100 different light options for our apartment balcony, we found these lights and they are perfect. While it is unlikely that we will use any of the other light settings, other than the standard one, we do appreciate that there are other options. We also love that it's solar powered and when the natural light outside starts to get dark, the lights turn on! We also love that there is a secondary option of charging the lights using a USB charger. This is great for those times when you want it to work now and don't want to wait for the sun to charge it. Overall, very happy with the lights. They are not too bright and not too dark.

What we like: We live outside (retirees who haven't gotten our house built yet). It is great to have self-powered lights that don't strain our small solar electric system. We have a string of these outside our popup in the "yard," and a string under the EZ-up in our "kitchen." They look nice, and provide decent light (although we do use a regular light fixture for serious kitchen work), making it easy to walk around. They were easy to set up, and we can turn them off when we don't need them. It's nice to drive home after dark and have these lights on to greet us.Here's what we don't like so much: I notice a lot of reviews wishing the solar panel had a longer cord to the first light -- we don't have that problem, since we are using the lights up high and that's where we need the solar panel placed. What we dislike is that the on-off switch is on the back of the solar panel... if we put the panel in a place to get maximum solar gain, we can't reach it to turn it on or off. This wouldn't be an issue except for the other thing we don't like... the lights only stay on for a couple hours. I know it's winter, but we live in New Mexico and get plenty of sun. We also got these other LED light strings: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06WGYP8BJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and they stay on until morning, even though the solar panels are in the same place as the Sunlitec lights! The solar panel/battery looks so much more robust than the other lights, but just doesn't live up to the light string. The Sunlitec lights come on right at dusk and then are off a couple hours later. We don't need them at dusk, so we turn them off and only turn them on when we need them. It's a bother to turn them on and off when the panel is optimally placed. We wish the on/off switch was on a cord so we could separate it from the panel. We do like the lights overall, so we will live with the bother.(We've only had these for about a month, so I can't speak to the product longevity; my lower longevity rating is for the nightly longevity of the power. Also they were dead easy to install; my lower rating on that is that they are impossible to install optimally.)Be aware that these come with a $10 Amazon gift card that they say they will activate when you give them a 5-star review. If I can find it I will try to redeem it even though my review is less than 5-stars, but even if they do, I am guessing many of the 5-star review are from folks who wanted the $10 and figured they had to give a 5-star review. Ugly marketing practice!

I have checked around amazon for a good set of Fairy Lights for a good while now, and I can tell you with great assurance, these are the best out there. The installation was very easy, and the solar panel is easy to get in the right position to take as much light as possible. The strands are very malleable, but still thick enough to keep the lights safe. These lights get probably 5-6 hours of direct sunlight, and a couple more indirect. They turn on about 8:30, and stay on for a whopping 5 HOURS! They work great! They are at the perfect brightness too. Dark enough to not interfere with the atmosphere, but bright enough to illuminate the area in a perfect glimmer. The IP rating seems to be accurate as well. These lights sure took a beating during a blizzard, and they seem to be doing just fine. These will definitely stand the test of time. These are durable, easy to install, and look amazing no matter where you put them. I am very satisfied with these, and would highly recommend.
