worked perfect for our camping set up. battery life after the first use was amazing. ran it from 6pm until about midnight dropped 25% i’m assuming from the 4 little dot led indicator. by 8am the next morning it was recharged due to it being solar. definitely a a good value for your dollar.

I purchased this particular set of string lights after reading multiple camping reviews online. I recently used them in a six day camping trip where we encountered high heat, torrential rain and high winds. I was nervous that the solar panel case took on too much water and would be damaged but this set of string lights is built to last!I particularly like how compact the unit becomes when it's time to wind it up and put it away. The "string" is a durable cording and the LEDs are protected with a sturdy plastic. It's nice to have three options for brightness. We used and found that the lowest setting was more than enough for our evening needs. I was very pleased with how long they ran for and we never found ourselves without charge, even after leaving them on all night.I'm hopefully this set will last for many camping trips!

I bought these after a camping trip with a friend who had them and I was impressed. They were left on all night and still on the next morning and fully charged through the next day. I also like the fact that there are a lot of lights on the string but they were not blindingly bright. It was a nice ambient light for the campsite. The case is also great as it is in a small footprint and easy to pack. This is a very well designed product and I am very happy with it.

Update (a few months of use):Been using this for a few months now. I’ll retract what I said about the solar panel. It was actually convenient. Mainly because it’ll only last a night for me on the high setting. I just hang it towards the sun and it recharges during the day. Sometimes it’ll charge to full but most at least 75%. Due to having to unwind it complete to use, I only really take it out when I’m staying somewhere longer than a day. I also end up snapping the cable. I reached out to the company and they were able to sell me a replacement string. If you are using it with a canopy, I suggest getting Velcro straps for it. Makes it easier to hang. Overall still good product. 4.5 stars.Original review:I was looking for a good quality string light to take with me camping. These looks great so I got it. What I like about it is the string quality feels great, the light is bright, and the cable long. I like how it's self contained so it is easy to store. The built in power bank makes it convenient so I don't have to use my other power banks to power it.Things I don't like or can be improved:The biggest grip I have is the string light isn't connected to the power bank by default. The end of the cable is stored in an empty storage port. So you have to unwind all of the cord, then plug it into the power bank. So if you want to only use half the cord, no luck, you have to unwind the whole thing. Additionally, if you have it all wind up and the case open, it would have been a great opportunity to use the lights as a lantern. But since it's not connected to the power bank winded up, no such feature. Leaving it plugged in isn't an option because the cable will stick straight out putting stress on the connection. I believe the idea was so that you don't accidentally turn on the lights while it's in the case. But I figure making a power button that doesn't get accidentally turn on would have been a smarter idea. The case is on the larger size so it is hard to get a good grip to twist open. It should have something on the bottom to help with grip. The solar panel is nice to have but it isn't that great of a feature. It's so small it would take a long time to charge the power bank. I would have rather no solar panel and other better features.Overall, good product and I'm happy to have it but not quite perfect.

This is a great addition to our campervan. Tried many different types of string fairy lights that just don't last five minutes. This set are brilliant and worth the cost.

Took this small light camping twice now and have been blown away by how bright it gets. The lights and cord are quite sturdy too. The battery life works quite great since even the dimmer setting is quite bright. Will definitely be ordering another.

YO, when i tell you i ordered these expecting them to half work as claimed youd be right. But i was very very wrong, these lights are the best solar anything ive owned in a long time. they charge to full in about 7 hours, but the great thing is is that just sitting in my living room next to a window on the shelf the charge light comes on. that little amount of light activated the solar charging. then theres the 3 modes of brightness, the low setting lasts me about a week to a week and a half, medium setting(which is so bright) lasts me a week solid, high setting which is holy crap bright last 4 days from dark to bed time around 1 or 2am. all the settings ive used from sundown usually 7pm-2am everyday. i only once let it run all the way dead and the rest of the time it collects energy even on cloudy days. the solar cell they used is really good. the whole thing feels cheap but dont be fooled. the lights and string itself and corded and water resistant or full waterproof. i went on a 3 day adventure and it rained everyday, the lights hung outside the entire time and that was awhile ago and they are still kicking. Also to not the light string and the the solar base detach from one another so you can leave your lights hung wherever and take the base to hang a charge in any location. i will be buying 2 more 40ft length units in the near future.

The string lights are very good, plenty of light plenty of length. The battery life isn't the best, the older smaller lights had better capacity. The detachable battery/solar is a great addition. The original lights with the USB plug built onto the end of the lights is still the best option in my opinion.
