Depending on the project you need them for they will do the job. Not super strong compared to my old ones. The ones at the hardware store are the same as these but double the cost.

The ring has good tension to create a very nice hold on the pin, the shaft is machined well so it fits my equipment well. If you need a lynch pin, this is the one for you.

The spring force is sufficient to keep in latched, but not very strong. Good deal for 10!Details:I intend to use these primarily on hitch pins for my tractor. As you can see the dimensions are true to what is listed so you can be confident in that. The finish on them seems fair although time will really tell once they are exposed to the elements. The only gripe I really have, which isn't a big one, is that the spring force of the locking ring isn't very much. It is sufficient to keep it closed, but it wouldn't take too much to knock it open. It isn't anything like that of the larger locking pins. For most applications it will do just fine, but if you have a situation where something could rub, bump, fall on, or otherwise hit the locking ring these could inadvertently get popped open.************************************************My Rating Scale:5 STARS - Item worked better than advertised and exceeded my expectations. The item provided more value than I anticipated and is a great deal. The item seems very well made and should last for a long time.
