  • Made of stainless steel, it is not easy to corrode and rust, and it can be used for a long time. easy to clean
  • Wide Temperature Measuring Range-This k-type temperature sensor is designed for high-temperature usage but it can also be adapted to lower-temperature environments depending on the demand.
  • Metal Probe - long stainless steel metal probe thermocouple sensor with an outer diameter of 3 mm can be adapted in most measuring environments and increase the temperature tolerance capability. ENHANCE PERFORMANCE!
  • Reliable Accuracy - It can directly measure the temperature of copper/tin/aluminum and other liquid, vapor and gas media as well as solid surface temperatures from -50°C to 400°C (short‑term measurement) in various production processes
  • It is resistant to high voltage, has a fast thermal response time and is durable,It adopts handheld design, small in size, which is convenient to use and carry.

Specification:

Condition: New

Item Type: Handheld Thermocouple

Index Number: K

Operating temperature: 0-800 degrees Celsius (long-term), 0-1100 degrees Celsius (short-term)

Material: 304 Stainless Steel

Probe Diameter: Approx. 3 mm/0.1 in

Probe Length: Approx.100 mm/3.9 in

Measurement Object: Copper, tin, aluminum, furnace, etc.

Application Range: Widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, machinery, metallurgy, textile, food, aerospace chemical industry, etc.

Working Principle: The electrode of the armored thermocouple is composed of two different conductor materials. When there is a temperature difference between the measuring terminal and the reference terminal, a thermoelectric potential will be generated, and the working instrument will display the temperature value corresponding to the thermoelectric potential.

Overview: Armored thermocouples and thermal resistances have the advantages of bending, high pressure resistance, fast thermal response time and sturdiness. They are the same as assembled thermocouples and thermal resistances. They are used as sensors for measuring temperature, usually with display instruments, The recorder is used in conjunction with the controller, and can also be used as a temperature sensing element for assembled thermocouples and thermal resistances. It can directly measure the temperature of liquid, steam and gas medium and solid surface in the range of 0°C ~ 1100°C (thermocouple), -200 ~ 500°C (thermal resistance) in various production processes. Armored thermocouples are the same as general industrial thermocouples, and are matched with display instruments. They can automatically detect or adjust the surface temperature of gas, liquid medium or solid within a certain range.

Package List:

This is not a needle tip probe. It is 3mm in diameter as advertised, but the end is completely blunt with no point. I'm not going to knock it too hard, because it's exactly what the pictures show, but the title should be amended. That aside, it's otherwise a great thermocouple probe. Materials are good to great, and it's accurate. The probe itself is only very weakly magnetic, so I believe the claim that it's stainless steel. The handle is very very stiff plastic, probably nylon. As for the cable and connector, they're still very good.My only complaint is an excess glue blob that was on the end of the handle, where the cable comes out.Accuracy is also good. It measured within half a degree of my other thermometers in both hot and cold, when connected to my multimeter with a thermocouple adapter. Response times are also quite snappy. For ten bucks, I don't think you can go wrong here. The whole thing is built well enough for hobbyist/home use, and accuracy is excellent. My only complaint is I wish it actually had a pointy tip, but otherwise it's a great option.

Ordered this probe for measuring water temperature in beakers while heating. Works perfectly and can recommend this item.

This is a type K thermocouple probe with a mini connector appears to function, but the cord is not very flexible. It’s made out of stiffer type PVC plastic I’m assuming this is why.

You can never have too many types of temperature probes if you do HVAC service work! Compatible with any meter that has a type K connection as far as I see so far, the flexible line and probe makes checking TDs a snap!

This probe works perfectly. I use it to check temps on commercial equipment. Very accurate right out of the box. And absolute value for your money.

I tried to measure the air temperature in ductwork with this probe (in a furnace at ~90°F) and this probe shows as -150°F. My other K-type probes work fine, so either my furnace spontaneously turned into the mother of all cryogenics systems or this probe is faulty. (I'm betting on the latter)Physically the probe is nice and long, and the coiled cable is nice, however the injection molding of the body and the flimsy plug leave to be desired. If you looking for an accurate probe, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere
