Arrived quickly, exactly what I wanted, a gallon container to grow kombucha. So far so good. Three days in and love it thus far. I had no leaks from the start, super easy to clean and just great

Truth be told I haven’t gotten the chance to try this out yet because the process is a little daunting. However, having checked out the product itself I’m confident that it’s a good quality set. It includes everything you need (except ingredients of course) to begin making kombucha. The most important part to me, honestly, is that it included instructions and a recipe that seem pretty easy to follow.Besides that, I found that each piece seems to be of good quality. I’m confident that when I finally take the effort to get my Scoby (if you don’t know what that is, you are definitely going to want to do a little more research on kombucha) I will have everything I need to get started.Overall, I’m excited to try my hand at a new hobby and am confident that this kit will be more than sufficient for that. The one thing I will say is that doing a bit more research, this is a pretty small jar. Given the time it takes to make a batch I’d prefer something twice as large. If it got to the point where I wanted to have some every day, this would not make enough kombucha. Just something to think about. But if you just want some sporadically, this is great.

This is easy to use. However, I don't understand how it's a continuous Kombucha brewing kit. I just use it for making sun tea. It works great. The spigot doesn't leak. I like the fact that it is made of glass. The price is good.

I recently decided to start brewing kombucha at home and I felt these were the perfect bottles/jars. The cloth cover is really helpful. I like the shape and quality of the bottles. They’re very sturdy and having the spigot helps a lot with decanting. I bought two and now I plan to make all of my own kombucha at home. My first batch turned out really well.

Nice jar for making kumbucha or teas.Works well as a starter jar, but I feel like with the mesh screen for added fruit, it is more suited for batches you make after your mother jar.The glass is nice and thick, with a nice pouring spout. The size is perfect for making a gallon of tea at a time.Everything cleans easily, I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher.

I bought this jar as a second fermenter for kombucha. It is high quality glass and comes with a stainless spigot. I highly recommend this gallon jar. The stainless filter insert will save me having to filter before bottling.

there are some positives to this set. The glass itself is not bad. The spigot is what you could expect from a bundle like this. As you can see in the picture the Stainless Steel Mesh Filter was damaged. That is kind of surprising considering it was inserted in the glass. Makes me to believe the QC at the factory is not the best. Comes with a one page pamphlet giving basic info on how to use the unit and brew kombucha (nice touch).I like that the glass has Date, Tea, Sugar, Flavoring printed on the side to leave notes on what you doing. Surprisingly they included a actual pen to write on the glass (another bonus). They mention a temperature strip which was not included.Price is fair for the set and I may would rated it higher if the stainless steel mesh filter would not have been damaged, i am sure hard to find an exact replacement

I've been making KOMBUCHA for about 20 years, so I have made it in a number of vessels. From pickle jars to portable coolers, I've used it all, but nothing compares to this fantastic bit of kit. My only gripe is it's one gallon capacity; however, I understand this is probably aimed at people new to making KOMBUCHA. Plus, not everyone wants a three-gallon vessel taking up space on their countertops. The markings on the side of jar will help newbies through their first batches, but after a short time making KOMBUCHA becomes second nature. The inclusion of the temperature sensing sticker is a nice, useful touch. In the beginning, I had a time deciding on what to cover the vessel with. I started out with a coffee filter and eventually upgraded to cheesecloth. Eventually I purchased a piece of colorful fabric from a craft store. I used a large rubber band to secure it. This setup served me well, but now that I see how convenient the little bonnet included with this kit is, I'll never use anything other than this. The stainless-steel infusion insert is very well made; however, I personally won't use it. When my KOMBUCHA reaches the perfect level, I move it to flip top bottles. This allows me to add flavorings to each 24-ounce bottle. That way I have three or four styles of BOOCH.If you are new to brewing and want to supercharge your setup, purchase a FERMINTATION HEATING BELT/WRAP. This allows you to hold the tea+SCOBY at the precise temperature for fermentation. This is not necessary, but it offers peace of mind and consistent batches.....at least until your SCOBY grows to the size of a dinner plate. No, no....I am not joking!May the BOOCH be with you!
