This review is for a bag of Coarse Coupling Nuts, 3/8-16, Piece-8. Worked perfectly for me. Good clean threads. Very solid load transfer. I have about 300 pounds hanging from each of these couplings, going from all-thread to an open hook. No problems whatsoever. Only used 5 so far, but all were good.

The units received had an issue with the thread quality. They quickly jammed on the bolts, and a quarter-turn with a wrench showed damage to the bolt threads. Re-tapping the nut fixed the issue, but in hindsight any cost savings were lost to the extra time and hassle required for the fix.

Five stars for quality of the product. One star for properly filling the order. These couplers meet my expectations of quality and size. However, I specifically ordered these because they were supposed to be steel, and not stainless steel like most choices. Normally, it wouldn’t matter, but I needed to weld these to other steel for my project and stainless steel doesn’t weld very well without equipment designed for stainless steel. However, what arrived were 8 stainless steel couplers, so either the description is wrong, or they sent me the wrong thing.
