Cheap steel - stripped out the outside end 1st time. Garbage. And yes, I used the correct socket.Should be a zero (0) rating.

I lost my wing nuts after Hurricane Sally. It turned out that there were two different brands of hanger bolts for the shutters. The replacement wing nuts only fit on one brand. I ordered these just before Hurricane Elsa. They arrived in time and I replaced the old bolts. Now they work just fine.

I'm in So. Florida so I'm concerned about corrosion but for the price, I'm not that concerned. Cheap enough to replace.

It was awesome to be able to find these and receive them before the seasonal rush. I’m hoping that they’re not needed at all this season, but we’re ready.

Used for storm shutters on concrete block walls. Worked great! They suggested 7/32" bit. I tried 3/16" ( more common for impact drivers). Worked better on concrete block. The small hex head mentioned in description did drive them in most of the time pretty well. Might need double nuts jammed together, instead, to drive them in difficult walls.
