The colors look just like they do in the pics. But take care not to drop them or use them carelessly. I admit I used one to whack a fly on a smooth, flat desk and it shattered into a bunch of smaller pieces. I am sure the manufacturers didn’t intend for this use, but still I wonder how it will hold up if dropped on a backpack or under a bunch of books.

Bought this specifically to have a spread of vibrant colors for kids who like those colors, but half the colors were disappointing:1) orange is very washed out2) pink looks like a diluted purple3) yellow is pretty yellow-greenCan't complain about price point or the make - seems to be decently strong & flexible transparent material (though we weren't looking for the flexibility or transparency, they are nice).Still, if I hadn't waited until school was starting to open the package, I'd have returned it because half the colors are off.5 stars for make, -50% stars because half the rulers aren't what we expected. rounded down = 2 stars.

These are easy to read on light colors.

Great for school. Fun colors kids used them and they lasted all year. Obviously is plastic and could break, but ours did not.
