The concept is nice. It folds up compactly. However, it only clicks into place on one end. The other end just flops. I ordered a replacement, and the replacement does the exact same thing.

Disappointed that this measuring stick does not lock or stay straight when unfolded. Cannot be used as I'd hoped.

For the price I thought I'd give it a shot. I was worried about how well it would hold up since it's plastic, but the mechanism for folding seems fairly sturdy and it stays more rigid than other folding rulers. Overall, not bad for the price.

Most of the world works with the metric system. Many US scientists express themselves in meters and liters. The number of metric wrenches in my toolbox grows every month. I bought this meter stick to help my grandchildren understand the difference between yards and meters. Finding a yard stick at a local retail store was very easy.
