We bought this set to take with us to family events, camping, get togethers, day trips etc. It’s is very easy to set up and take down and has been surprisingly durable for us. While easy to knock over, it hasn’t broken after nearly 6 years of sporadic use. This has entertained our kids and family at quite a few events and still gets used every summer.

Likes: Very portable, and easy to set upDislikes: Not easy to take down. The buttons in the poles are very difficult to push in properly to close down the poles. And, the cheap plastic poles broke after three uses. This would be a good product if the poles were made of a better quality material. My grandchildren enjoyed it until it broke. And, no, we didn't let the kids put it away. We adults were trying to be careful with the poles, but between the poor quality and difficulty in closing them, they broke.

The badminton set worked out well. It is easy to set up and take down and every thing stores in the base. The net isn't as wide as a standard net but the pop-up convience makes it a good choice. The rackets were nice. A good set to take to picnics or to use at home.

Easy to set up, played everywhere. Lasted about two years. ALWAYS had issues taking it apart. Sometimes everyone playing would have to help take the poles out of the setup container. One day I left it as is and didnt take it apart because it was too much for me and I planned on playing the next day. Well, I guess the weather warped something because it was IMPOSSIBLE taking the poles out. I ended up having the just throw it away because I pulled on it until something snapped/ cracked/ popped... who knows. I was seeing red. Anyways. I'm back to report that I will not be buying this set again and will be buying a different set for the same price and who knows, maybe that one will equally be as frustrating but I miss playing portable badminton and am willing to take the risk. But not with this brand.

We loved this, such an awesome idea and design but unfortunately the material the main supports are made of went brittle and snapped in only 2 months (maybe used 6 times).Very disappointed 9 year old.

At first I had a hard time tearing this down after use. It is because I would start at the top of each prong and work my way down. When I took a notch out, I would push it down. This caused chaos. Because of this, I had difficulties disengaging there remaining locks on each prong. Instead, work from the bottom to the top and when you undo a lock, do not push it in all the way. Once all locks are undone, you can easily collapse the whole prong. After realizing this, everything went great. I have had mine since 2016

Wonderful for camping trips or pop up backyard games. Nice not having to stake anything into the ground- theres nothing for people to trip on! We put a couple pieces of firewood or rocks in the base-bag when we are using it to prevent it from tipping.Make sure to read the directions for opening it up the initial time you do- the arms should be put into the receiver in the side of the bag fully collapsed. Once in, then telescope them outward- they will not install in the side of the bag if you telescope outward then try to push the lower piece into the bag receiver. Collapsing it back down to put away its the same. The arms are plastic- they will not take a beating from your kids & it is not durable enough to use as volleyball net. After we had that talk with our children we didn't need to worry about them destroying it.Bonus- The bag has space in it for 4 little soccer cones to mark the boundaries of the game

Great product! The compact package is easy to store. The net is sturdy, sits at the right height and can be deployed quickly. Makes for a slightly smaller playing area than a regular net, but perfect for an impromptu game. I'm done with metal poles that you have to plant into the ground and a net that never stays straight. The Zume Games Badminton Set is the way to go.

Our family has enjoyed this badminton set, but there are definitely issues with it. The first set we received was defective and had both base tubes installed at an angle, so the net leaned. However, Amazon was awesome to quickly replace it. The second set was not crooked, so we are overall happy with the set. Some things to keep in mind... 1) Based on other reviews and our own experience, don't be surprised if you get a defective set and then have to get a replacement. 2) It's a portable badminton set, so expect it to be lightweight and often things that are lightweight/portable don't hold up as long or as well, so if you're looking for something to setup and leave out in your backyard, this isn't likely what you should buy. 3) The clips inside the telescoping poles do take a bit of wiggling and patience to get the poles to collapse, and worse is removing the poles from the base tubes... so, if you don't have patience, nor a gentle (but firm) touch, or plan to let the kiddos take the poles down, then odds are that the poles won't last long for you, so you might not want to buy this set.To answer a question above, the set is very lightweight and ideal for what is was intended (badminton), so it depends on what level of volleyball you are wanting to play... it should be fine, if players are not making contact with the net, you are using a "toy" weight volleyball, AND you are lightly volleying... However, if you are playing "real" volleyball with spiking and blocking at the net, overhand serves and returns, or even a regulation weight volleyball, then I would not suggest using this net; it is not made for impact.Regarding wind, we haven't used it in the wind and badminton is something one would NOT ideally play in the wind either... so likely best to use indoors or on no/low wind days outside. So, if you keep in mind that this is a portable (read lightweight and somewhat fragile and quirky) set, and if you get one that is not defective, you are off to a great start. Then, if you are gentle with the poles and net and use it in and under the right conditions, such as no wind and without anything (other than a birdie) contacting the net, it is a fun set to have! However, even with doing all the "right" things in handling the poles and net, I really would not be surprised if the clips or poles break after a relatively low number of setups and take-downs, so indeed, buyer beware!
