I got this for my niece who is new into the badminton sport. My wife said it was a little bit complicated to setup and adjust the string etc and they had to watch the videos a few times to figure it out because one of the strings had gotten unwound somehow. Having watched the video myself, it looks pretty straight forward but they do show you how to address a few issues that might come up. I think my wife was initially thinking all of those steps were in some way required to setup new, but really most are just troubleshooting tips. It's actually very useful that the video exists for when something inevitably goes wrong with the string windup.Other than that, the birdies seemed like good quality, and it came with a good number of them (12 in the version we got). My niece enjoys being able to work on her hand eye coordination in the off season or when she doesn't have time to spend a full afternoon getting to and from the gym with friends etc.

I'm a teacher and I got these birdies a few months ago for my students to play with at recess (after they demolished the two birdies we began the year with). So far these ones have held up to near-daily use. I'm very impressed with the quality. The bright color also makes them very easy to see outdoors. Highly recommended!

Box didn't contain any instructions, everything looks flimsy, have no idea how to use it.I may work terrifically well, but I doubt it. And can't figure out how to test it.

The item was broken the strings were broken, the birdie detached from the strings, and the cap broke off the thing itself.

This is actually pretty cool and fun to use. It reminds me of stringing a weed trimmer. Make sure to watch the video, you will need to disassemble and reassemble with the elastic string wound up properly inside the spool. Both our spools came with the elastic wrapped all over the internal spring which would have prevented it working as intended. It's not hard to set up properly. A big bonus of this kit is that it includes 12 extra shuttle cocks. Very affordable and good quality but will take a little effort to setup properly.
