I loke the sand very much, especially my gecko. I found it to be expensive.

This sand is easy to clean. It is fine sand so my sand boa and geckos love it. The only drawback that I can see is you can't rush when filling your tank it will give a nice dust bowl.

The only thing I liked about this sand is the softness of it. My bearded dragon on the other hand did not like it. It had a really distinct smell and it stained your hands. So, I just bought the white sand in this brand and he loves it.

Not too good to be true. Great deal for the amount of sand. I prefer white or purple but for the price, I don't mind the color. I use a black light and throw little white flowers around in the sand. It looks nice.

My beard dragon likes the sand and the extra calcium can't hurt. Best of all, if he accidentally goes to the bathroom in his tank it is so easy to remove. He's well trained and gets my attention when he needs to go and I take him out to do his business. He sort of started this routine himself when be realized how much nicer it smells without poo baking in the terrarium's heat. Lol.

This works great for my dragon, and is easy to scoop out feces because it clumps a bit. Will get kind of hard because of this if you spill a lot of water. Has a vitamin c smell to it when it heats up but not totally offensive and helps to cover some of the regular smell of the animal. For the guy who had an impacted lizard because of this, this sand is much safer than any other loose substrate, and is recommended by both my vet and the manager of my local pet store, as well as most good bearded dragon boards. DO NOT USE ANY LOOSE SUBSTRATE WITH DRAGONS YOUNGER THAN 6 MONTHS. They will become impacted.

my local pet store charges around $30 per bag for this stuff. it works really well in my gecko's tank, and having just found it on here, I will be buying it here from now on.to Jam:I have a gecko, and everything I have read, including the gecko care guide I got with him said calcium sand was fine, and that it was recommended as that they were likely to eat some of the ground cover anyway. this sand is fine rather than course, so it can pass through the lizards digestive system easily. lots of things can kill your lizard, the key, like in life, is to balance happiness with safety. I have put this calcium sand in with my gecko along with other ground covers such as coconut husk at the same time, and he prefers it to other medias. there is also a minute chance that crickets can survive getting eaten, and burrow out of the lizard, it's a small chance however, and I'm going to keep feeding him crickets because he likes them, and it makes him a happy gecko, which is more fun to watch. similarly, my gecko will keep getting calcium sand.
