My balancer seal didnt look like the OEM. I mic'd the rubber sealing surface as best I could and it was LARGER than my balancer surface by 10 thousanths. It fit the cover hole fine, but it leaked immediately even after I centered the cover with seal on with the balancer temp in place and pan off. Gonna cost me a bundle now to fix the non spec seal. GO OEM or major manufacturer seal brand. The gaskets looked fine. I should have slipped the seal on the balanceerhub and checked for drag caused by the seal on the surface. It had a weird outer dust sheild in front of the main seal that might have grabbed negating the slip fit test. The OD of the seal was fine.
